Hi there, My name is Kenny Bates, I'm the booker at Pivo Pivo, a venue in Glasgow City Centre. I’m getting in touch as I’m organising a tour for Vasa, a Glasgow-based band who play a dynamic form of post-rock/math-rock with more hardcore breakdowns and occasional dancey rhythms. Worth their mustard, they are fiery and energetic live, quite a spectacle, with some killer tunes. You can hear more thisaway: https://www.facebook.com/VasaBand?ref=ts We are hoping to get in touch with a local promoter/booker to get an Aberdeen show organised for either Fri 17th or Sunday 19th August. The tour thusfar is: Wednesday 15th August – Ayr – Market Inn Thursday 16th August – Edinburgh – Bannerman’s Friday 17th August – available Saturday 18th August – Perth Sunday 19th August – available All we’d be looking for is a small guarantee to allow us to keep the tour going and feed ourselves some cheap crap sandwiches. This can be negotiated but we’re not asking for too much. Another Glasgow act, Young Philadelphia are joining the guys for the first 3 dates up to the 17th so if that date is available it'd be fantastic to get them on the bill too. They're a Hella/Lightning Bolt style 2-piece. Incredible live. Without a doubt one of the best acts I've ever staged in Pivo. www.facebook.com/youngphiladelphia I believe the reputation surrounding the acts among new music followers will mean local audiences will want to turn out, and the impression they’ll leave on those in attendance will be quite something too.
