Walter Lang (piano), Sven Faller (bass, samples), Gerwin Eisenhauer (drums) One of Europe’s finest pianists, Walter Lang fronts a traditional piano trio that can sound classic one moment and take the music on a new tangent, the next. Three musicians schooled in the jazz tradition yet trying to find new expression. Easing from melodies of an almost hymnic quality, dazzling rhythms and surprising dynamic shifts compiling a repertoire inspired by Aphex Twins, Kraftwerk, Thelonious Monk, Jobim and Bach, perfect for fans of new jazz pianiism, from EST and Neil Cowley to Brad Mehldau and The Bad Plus.
