I saw that too. I'm no guitar expert by any means but even I knew the Strat was something special.

Unlikely as that's the one I'm probably most fond of. No idea how much it's worth either. I was given it as a thank you by a close friend so I don't look at the Hohner in a monetary sense. Ian

As a relative noob, most of my gear is low end stuff. Guitars- Hohner L90 LP Goldtop copy Vintage VRS100 Yamaha Pacifica Crafter Electro-acoustic 6 string Assorted knackered Strat type guitars that are lying around waiting to be reborn as ornaments, weird clocks etc. Bass- Jackson JS2 Concert Westfield P bass copy Ibanez GSR190 (On loan to a mate just now) Amps- Line6 Spider 2 30W guitar Marshall MG15CD Guitar Ashdown Electric Blue 180 Bass Peavey 158 Bass Pedals- Boss HM2 Heavy metal FAB distortion Danelectro Corned beef Reverb " Fish'n'chips EQ " Milkshake Chorus " Pastrami Overdrive " Chilli Dog Octave Boss CEB3 Chorus Bass might sell off some stuff like the Danelectro pedals and the VRS100 as the pedals don't get used and the VRS100 hasn't been out of it's bag for years. The originals sound a wee bit too light so I'll try the D'Addario XL 45-105 as you suggested and use them as a starting point and go from there. I'll also visit basschat for a wee gander. Thanks for the help Ian

Am looking to restring my Jackson JS2 Bass soon. Looking for recommendations of brand, gauge etc. Most of the stuff I play is rock, punk, 80's pop and suchlike if that helps. Your input is appreciated guys. Cheers Ian
