  1. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  2. Our practice space is in Weighthouse square so when we come out, we have to go onto Virginia Street and I live on Thistle Street (top end of town). So it's an absolute bastard to get home unless I do a quick illegal left turn onto Shore Lane and pop up Marschiall Street.
  3. I do not Milner, but I am heading to our practice space tonight so will get some up tomorrow morning.
  4. Cool Thinker - do you know what they're doing at the Guild Street junction with Market Street? Coming from the harbour, they've had the 'straight on towards Guild Street' lane closed for weeks now.
  5. Incorrect My previous address was Lee Crescent, Bridge of Don and another was Danestone, Bridge of Don Different sides of the Parkway. Dubford, Grandholm and Braehead are also part of Bridge of Don 'Cool Thinker's Cool Stabs in the Dark at Stuff Thread'
  6. It won't. If it does, it'll have fuck all to do with the AECC. The place does well.
  7. Sold to Milner. I thought having 4 snare drums was a bit excessive so it's yours!
  8. Mapex V Series Snare Drum - recently bought a V Series kit but have no use for the snare it came with - anyone want it?
  9. Message sent via Gumtree and via here!
  10. I think everyone has good/bad gigs in the city but as someone above mentioned, there's only so much a sound engineer can do - ultimately, if you want a decent sound, take the time to advise the sound engineer what you want/don't want. We seem to take a wee while to soundcheck, as we like everything to be as spot on as it can be and all the engineers have been really helpful with it. As for the promoters/organisers etc, they've always been pretty good. Only one I had a problem with was with an English promoter who got taking lines in the toilet before the doors had even opened and had been ejected from the venue.
  11. Looking for cases/bags for; Bass drum Floor tom Rack tom If you have anything available, get in touch. Ta
  12. Are the cymbal stands boom stands? Come with felts etc?
  13. Das Macmanus are indeed very small. Maybe people think they're easily picked on? They are however, thoroughly nice people (this may be cause for bullying also).
  14. Yeah I like it. Good simple video and a catchy wee song. Good work.
  15. Currently working on new drum parts for a couple of our new songs as they didnt' sound 'right' when we recorded them last week
  16. Audiokicks for best band but have they played a Fudge night before?
  17. Thanks all - and Jake, it's just to record our practice sessions so the whole band can listen to them during the week - idea would be to upload the tracks to Soundcloud 'privately' and allow the band to listen to them when we're not practicing
  18. Looking for some new hardware - 3 cymbal boom stands, a hi hat stand and a snare stand. Anyone got anything they don't use? Oh, and a mini China cymbal as well. Cash waiting.
  19. Looking for a decent mic to record our practices - tried a couple of options and apps but with little success. Effectively, looking for a mic I can plug into a computer and record - perhaps a program as well. Any advice/experience? Ta
  20. Exactly my point. The younger generation spend their time downloading music, as opposed to buying it from record shops. They hung about outside OneUp because that's where they bought their music from.
  21. Why I stopped to be honest. Of course it's speculation, it's opinion, not fact.
  22. I didn't say kids weren't into music. Just doesn't seem they're into music as much as the kids of 10 years ago. Like I said in my previous post, if you'd actually reread what I was saying, you might get what I mean.
