    Hey everyone,

     

    Currently looking for a band to play a city centre event this new years eve.

     

    The event will kick off at 7pm right through till about 1am on the 1st. 

     

    The event has a Scottish theme but that's not to say we're only looking for a Scottish themed band although being able to play some Scottish music would be greatly appreciated.

     

    Open to suggestions so please get in touch.

     

    On top of your fee the band will be able to join in on the evening and treated to a delicious seven course meal.

    We're having a rare old knees up this Hogmanay at The Athenaeum, and we'd like to invite you all to join us! We've decked the walls with boughs and stag's heads, tarted up with tweed and even hired a big old mantelpiece, to set the tone for the evening - traditional Scottish with a twist!

    The band is booked, the malts are ordered and the haggis caught - all we need now are our friends and guests for our exclusive 'closed doors' party.

    A seven course menu awaits, which celebrates everything that's great

    about Scottish larder. Lobster, Venison, boozy Petit Fours and so much more! Every guest will have a party pack at the table, so dive in, don the obligatory party hat, blow the compulsory tooter, and try not to pop the popper till the bells! You'll find some Scottish trivia to quiz the table. poems and jokes to keep you giggling, and a wee game of tiddlywinks (what else?) to test your skills between courses. You'll also find a 'hair of the dog' miniature to take home with you at the end of the night.

    Our band for the evening are called Spindrift. Made up of 3 local musicians, Spindrift joined together to create a fun, folk band with an acoustic twist. The band specialise in mixing up old Scots tunes with more modern interpretations and music from different genres including recent chart music. The aim of their music is to create a warm, relaxed and homely environment and encourage plenty of toe tappin' - perfect to get you up dancing this Hogmanay!

    We'll be takin' the bells in good old Scottish style - with a dram, some laughs, a song and of course, great company.

    The evening will begin at 7pm, and you will be dining until about 11pm with drinks and fun right through till after the bells.

    This will be a great fun night, with some of the best that Scotland has to offer, food, music, drinks and good old Scottish hospitality!

    Tickets for our Hogmanay party are extremely limited - the evening will be intimate enough to be cosy, but big enough to have a party! Tickets are priced at only £65 per person, which includes your seven course dinner, cocktail on arrival, party packs and entertainment for the night. - Who says us Scots are tight?
