  1. Pleased to hear PSB have been nominated for the Rebel Playlist vote on 6Music. Still tickets available so well worth seeing these guys when they are on the up! If you want to vote for them email lamacq.6music@bbc.co.uk with PublicServiceBroadcasting in the subject line.
  2. Yes, there will be tickets available on the door.
  3. Tomorrow night. Here's the press release Fence Records has supplied: "Do you like The Pictish Trail, James Yorkston and Seamus Fogarty? Then you'll be mightily excited then to hear that all three of the above idiosyncratically talented and not always especially well-shaven singer-songwriter sorts are hitting the road together for an ACOUSTIC TOUR OF THE UK throughout MARCH and APRIL, to share songs, stories, laughs, suggestive looks (possibly), strong embraces (probably) and underwear (definitely). All three will perform together on stage for two sets, each playing a selection of their own songs, with the others joining in. Expect heartbreaking harmonies, strange folky chanting and drunken in-jokes." Tickets still available at the box office so get in now!
  4. This is next Tuesday, tickets still available!
  5. Ex-radio DJ and TV presenter visits The Lemon Tree at the end of the month with stories of his back-to-back adventures from throughout his career. Having released his book No Off Switch Andy is going on a tour to deliver talks of his travels and tales of rock 'n' roll. 6. Local band UTN (Under the Noose) launch their new EP with us at The Lemon Tree on Saturday 6th April. Good live band these guys - acousticy but up beat, bit of funk and a decent singer so well worth checking out. Support comes from Black Heart Beats, FaR and Robbie Flanagan. http://www.facebook.com/underthenoose
  7. Support for this show comes from Bwani Junction and We Were Evergreen.
  8. With their live shows described as "completely ear-splitting" this is going to be one to look forward to at The Lemon Tree this April. Anthemic and dark, their albums have drawn critical acclaim and taken the band in different directions. The band say they are "folk with layers of noise," and music critics have state them as "a band that inject some real emotion and dynamic excitement into a comparatively standard template." Book tickets by clicking here, calling 01224 641122 or visiting the HMT or Music Hall box offices.
  9. This one is coming around soon. Tickets still available to buy on at the box office, phonelines and at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com.

  14. Duke Special visit The Lemon Tree this March in support of last year's album Oh Pioneer. One of Ireland's most successful musical exports, Duke Special (aka Peter Wilson) recently finished a successful Irish tour followed by dates in the UK featuring a hugely successful show at London's Shepherd Bush Empire. A piano based songwriter with a romantic and warm style, live shows are often theatrical and regularly feature gramophones and transistor radios so we can certainly expect an eccentric and interesting performance. Tickets can be booked by clicking here, calling 01224 641122 or visiting the Music Hall or HMT box offices.
  15. Having played a brilliant sell out show with us last year we're pleased to have Rachel back as part of her tour. Having released an EP and an album last year along with playing around 150 gigs including tours with Mumford and Sons and Elvis Costello she's back to give us a taste of her distinctive Scottish folk music. Expecting this one to sell quickly so get in quick! To book tickets click here, call 01224 641122 or visit the Music Hall or HMT box offices.
  16. Support for this comes from Marco Z.
  17. Following a successful gig with us last year we're pleased to welcome back Public Service Broadcasting to The Lemon Tree in May. These guys put on a really impressive live AV show and take samples from old public information films, archive footage and propoganda material. They're setting out on a huge tour in support of their forthcoming album Inform-Educate-Entertain. To book tickets click here, call 01224 641122 or visit the Music Hall or HMT box offices.
  18. London based singer-songwriter visits The Lemon Tree on the 23rd April. Having toured the UK and the States with Mumford and Sons he now heads out on his 30 shows - 30 days tour. 21. Pleased to be welcoming back Roddy Woomble to The Lemon Tree as part of his tour next year. Best known as the frontman of Idlewild, Roddy is also a celebrated solo artist and performer. Having released debut album My Secret is My Silence, which received great reviews from rock and folk press and followed it up in 2011 with The Impossible Song & Other Songs. He also collaborated with Kris Drever and John MkcCusker on Before The Ruin and toured extensively off the back of it. With his next solo effort due out in March this will be a great chance to hear new and old material. To buy tickets click here, call 01224 641122 or visit the HMT or Music Hall box offices.
  22. Former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins visits The Lemon Tree next April. I've heard great things about his last show a few years ago so we're really pleased to be welcoming him back for what will sure to do a great night. After Orange Juice disbanded Edwyn embarked on a successful solo career with hits including A Girl Like You and The Magic Piper. He has also worked with and produced tracks with the likes of Johnny Marr, The Cribs, Roddy Frame and Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy of Franz Ferdinand. Having made a comeback from a serious illness he has continued his solo career to great success. Tickets can be booked by clicking here, calling 01224 641122 or visiting the HMT or Music Hall box offices.
  23. Why not start off 2013 with a decent singer/songwriter? David Bazan visits us on 29th January to play solo tracks as well as songs from his previous band Pedro the Lion. A great storyteller with a mournful voice this is a great gig for anyone into their American indie-rock. Pedro the Lion were a Seatlle based duo who amassed an impressive collection of band members featuring musicians from The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Sufjan Stevens and Fleet Foxes. All in all, this is going to be a cracker! Book tickets by clicking here, calling 01224 641122 or visitng the HMT or Music Hall box offices.
