  4. Not long now! Always a good show and the lads are off to support Guns N Roses on their tour shortly after this show. Leathers and headbands are optional for The Lemon Tree gig. Full show from London KOKO can be watched here if you want a preview of what to expect. Scatterbrain is a beast, isn't it?!
  5. Support for this show will come from Velvet Audio and Marionettes.
  6. Poster for this Friday's gig. Who's coming along?
  7. Just some of the gigs we have coming up at The Lemon Tree this May. What takes your fancy? Also appearing at the venue are: Same Faces - 5th May - local rock outfit with support from U.T.N. and Crooked Little Vein Howard Marks - 11th May - talk from "Mr Nice". Expect some classic tales in this one. James Grant - 13th May - Scottish singer/songwriter and once frontman of Friends Again The Magnets - 20th May - A capella group performing the songs of Blur, Fatboy Slim, The Killers and more. 8. Having played two sold out nights at Cellar 35 The Little Kicks come to The Lemon Tree on the 30th June. Going to be a busy summer with several festival appearances confirmed so a good time to come and see them! Things are really picking up for these guys having released their second album at the end of last year. They gained good airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 6Music, received a nomination for Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music awards and were included in The Sun and The Scotsman's ones to watch for 2012 lists. In other words, don't miss it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh-fuxl5RFA Tickets onsale by clicking here or calling 01224 641122.
  9. Next Friday folks! Support comes from CS Buchan and The Deportees.
  10. We probably won't have times until the day but I think with an 8.30pm start they will be quite tight so I'd get in sharp to see all the bands. Sorry I can't be clearer at this stage! ID should be fine for collecting your tickets but bringing the confirmation would be a good idea as well just on the off chance.
  11. This is on Friday with Marionettes onstage at around 11pm. Playing quite a 12 song set so a bargain at £6 with three supports! Here's a cracking wee trailer for the show the band put together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUjW0Haf_UE
  12. Stanley visit The Lemon Tree on Saturday 14th April to launch their debut album Animals with Amazing Disguises. These guys are well worth checking out if you haven't seen them before. A very intelligent and creative band with a great vocalist, they are always sure to impress. "Bands rarely enjoy comparisons, but if you were to take the intelligence of The Divine Comedy, the vision of John Barry, the creativity of Radiohead (circa "The Bends") and the soaring vocal talents of Scott Walker you wouldn't be far away. And that can't be bad, can it?" Support comes from Danny Young & Aly Salam, His Name Is Codeine and DJ Delane. Tickets can be booked by clicking here, calling 01224 641122 or visiting the Box Office.
  13. Looks like it will just be the three bands on the bill. Don't have stagetimes as yet but will update here if we get them through.
  14. Support for this has been announced as Michele Stodart from The Magic Numbers.

  18. Thought I'd test the water to see what sort of interest there may be in this upcoming jazz show. YolanDa Brown visits The Lemon Tree on the 27th March on the release of her debut album "April Showers, May Flowers". YolanDa is a double MOBO winner and regarded as an emerging voice of mainstream UK jazz. She also happens to be a bit of a demon on the saxophone! We also have Aberdeen Jazz Festival shows Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Maggie Bell at The Lemon Tree this weekend.
