  1. Thanks to everyone who helped put on this show. I enjoyed everybody's set. Min Diesel were really good. Last time I saw them was about a year ago and I thought they were okay but they've improved a lot since then. I was pleasantly surprised. Their drummer is good despite not having hairy arms. Well done, chaps. It was great to see Victor looking healthy and happy. I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to see him play so it was extra special this time.
  2. Great video of the current line-up playing a song from the most recent album here. See you at the show, folks!
  3. I thought their gig at the Tunnels last year was terrific. Love of Everything were great too (though sadly Bobby and Elisse are now separated). Tim was impressively drunk before the show but I thought he was good regardless. That was a good spell for JOA as a live band but obviously they've changed again. Now they're back to being a quartet and it's more like Owls as has been said already. Still, it'll be great to see Victor Villareal (truly extraordinary guitarist on his day) play live again. This time around should be less meandering and slightly more rocking, though obviously it'll still be fairly weird because it's Joan of Arc. Definitely recommended if you like evolved emocore or art rock. They're an esoteric band and they seem to polarise opinion but as a live band they are drastically underrated in any incarnation. Worth a look!
  4. Last night in Edinburgh MES buggered off after six songs and the band went off after eight. If the one gig on, one gig off theory is true, tonight could be a good show!
  5. I was at that show too. I remember the mysterious broken glass. It seemed to come from the ceiling, as implausible as that sounds. It must have been in the chandelier or thrown with astonishing precision from the entrance (which would be borderline impossible). Crevecoeur are great. This is a must see show.
