I have played the fiddle since I was the young age of 8 and hasnt put it down since. My love and passion for Traditional fiddle music started at a young age when I joined the Ythan Fiddlers in Ellon, where i began as a junior before working my way up to becoming the Junior leader. I now teach and prepare the junior section of the Orchestra for performances and to eventually move up to the senior section. I now plays in a variety of ceilidh and folk bands across the North East, playing at ceilidhs/weddings and concerts with a whole band behind her or simply by herself solo. I myself play fiddle and have done for the Last 10 years. And play in a number o different groups. But I am looking For a new lively group o people to create a new young image o folk music. Hi I want to set up a company called JIGIT (Scottish Fiddle Music School) In Ellon. It would have fiddle tutor (myself) and there would be workshsops which guest tutors and group sessions which I would organize. do you think this is a good idea? Please get back to me if you or your children would be interested in learning with JIGITor attending workshops and sessions in Ellon. hi my name is Shona i am a very commited 18 year old fiddler looking for a ceilidh band to play with in aberdeen i have played for 9 years and already play with the Ythan fiddlers in Ellon and the Elphinstone fiddlers in aberdeen, but i am look to earn some money while i am having fun. i am willing to travel to aberdeen to practise and for gigs. i have a acoustic violin and also a electric violin with a 60watt amp.THANKS XX
