American rockgrass raconteurs Hayseed Dixie are coming back to the Woodend Barn on Friday 26 February 2010 after their hugely successful gig in 2008!! Highlighting the worth of mountain music to all things rock: energy, dirt-punk rhythm and careening harmonies, the band performs a mixture of cover versions of hard rock songs and original compositions in a style that is a cross between bluegrass and rock music. They have now played nearly 1,000 live dates in 21 different countries since 2001 and have performed in some of the most acclaimed festivals in the UK, such as Glastonbury, the Wickerman Festival, the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Download festival.
