  1. basically I have a Pearl Export Drum Kit FOR SALE!? I love my kit and it has served me well over the years! it's been to holland and back a few times on tour and not suffered any injuries! Obviously there are a few wee scratches after using this as a gigging kit for years, but it still sounds as it did when i bought it! The kit features Rock Size Burgandy shells with chrome hardware and comes with the newer version ISS tom mounting system. I will sell the kit either as a shell pack or with all hardware (misc) and accessories. It also comes with matching Pearl travel cases. I can also supply with brand new heads if required? I paid around 900 for everything that i will be selling, but would probably accept half of that.... If anyone is interested please email me here: smaskame@hotmail.com cheers..........

  5. "I think Mambo's in Peterhead may do gigs. Saw a few messages on here from the lads in Indian Red Lopez as they run a night there." aye we do, cheers for the punt! we run a night at the beginning of most months, at mambos in peterhead. we take over the venue before the nightclub opens and run it as a club night. its approx 250 capacity and is a really decent venue after we kit it out with hired sound system and projectors for visuals etc. send us a myspace link if you fancy a gig. cheers Shmeet the beat @ mambos, peterhead (Shmeet Thebeat) | MySpace ta

  7. ha ha! nae worries, funny shit! seriously though, everyone up here should take a look at what the fence collective are doing down in fife! they have the right idea. there is not necessarily any more talent down there than in other areas, but they work together and because of that people sit up and take notice in what they are doing. just a wee thought ken..............................
  8. i r l EUROPEAN TOUR - final thoughts.... well, seems you boys have been busy eh?! there's been more yapping on here than a dozen old wifies at a coffee morning! at least their banter would be better!! we )indian red lopez) had a fucking magic tour! call it whatever you want, but 7 gigs in 7 days in 4 countries, sounds like a tour to me, mon @ drummonds, tues @ tunnels, wed @ moorings, nae a fucking tour!!! we loved it, every gig was better than the last one and by the time we got to france and rotterdam the crowds were bouncing! even chanting in france, i think they thought we were some sort of football casuals firm!!?? made heaps of friends and sold plenty cd's and introduced lots of folk to our band. as for the driving, piece of piss! big 8 seater splitter van, even had a dvd player! even the 19hour journey home(rotterdam to peterheed in a day) wasn't too bad! we had no help at all with this, we just got off our arses and did it! we used cash saved from playing gigs and raised from our clubnight to pay for everything, i would recommend this to every band serious about what they are doing. fuck, if you want, we would gladly give you all our contacts and just go for it! don't worry about some randoms having a go at you for making the effort to achieve something either! they should maybe stop playing warcraft for a few hours, go outside and get a fucking life!
  9. this week sees indian red lopez set off on their first adventure overseas! they take in glenrothes (greenside), glasgow(bloc), edinburgh (GRV), london (alan mcghees death disco), lille, france (le select), rotterdam, the netherlands ( exit, and velvet records in-store). 8 numpties, 7 days, 7 gigs, 4 countries, 1 tour van, 56 hangovers! they play at dirty hearts club on thur 22 october and this will be their last gig this year before they head back into the studio to work on new material! ps. keep an eye out for announcements on november's "shmeet the beat' 4 in peterhead........'
  10. a quick update: last clubnight saw indian red lopez supported by freekorps and kyle jernslett. all bands were really well recieved and the turnout over the whole night was magic! (530 through the door over the course of the night) the boys from free korps said they had a good time and definitely made some new fans. the next night will be in november with the bands to be announced very soon! keep in touch............
  11. capacity is just over 250. the venue is ideal for gigs but it has only been used as a nightclub for the first 5 years of it being open. there is even a "backstage" room upstairs where beers are provided for the bands to chill out in before/after their sets. we held a couple of wizard festival showcases there in july and they were a success, but the first night in march we had 230. that was on a friday, so we are expecting more next saturday, especially since this is the first time we have had guest dj's after the gigs. backline has so far been provided by ourselves (indian red lopez) as obviously the less shit you need to take through from aberdeen the better! pa etc is hired in and either aaron (moshulu/lemon tree) or phil (music hall) will hopefully be doing sound duties. bands receive massive discounts on food and accomodation at a nearby hotel and also get paid PLUS a rider! we only charge 3 at the door as well! there is no requirement to sell tickets or shit like that, but obviously the more folk you can get through from town the better the gig will be for yourselves! we can also get you in touch with a local bus company who hire minibuses for our gigs and charge 10 return per person, which is cheaper than a stagecoach bus and drops you off at the door! ps.pogo fish, you're showing your age aren't you!??
