  4. Yeah it's still for sale, I was about to put it on ebay though so let me know if you're interested. As I said a few of the pads need fixed so you would need to take it to get repaired. I'm not looking for much at all for it, say 30. Oh and it has a carry case, and I'll throw in some spare reeds.

  6. I heard applying some sort of alcohol to your fingers does the trick, applying some sort of alcohol down your thought will do the same..... How to Ease Finger Soreness when Learning to Play Guitar - wikiHow
  7. I was given this clarinet a while back to find that a few of the pads don't work and never got round to getting it fixed. I'm not really motivated to learn it so I thought I'd chuck it on here and see if anyone's interested. It's in Bb and as far as a know is a pre-1936 military clarinet. The print says V.K.S Trademark Chicago, ARI's.
  8. I think the anthem will have to the "the wind that shakes the reich"
  9. I always quite fancied being a dictator, or high in some communist regieme. I'll give you a hand if you need recruits.
  10. I wish I had taken the opportunity to see him play when he was in Glasgow last year. He's been one of my favorite musicians since i first heard him`and on my list of musicians i must see. I don't know how he managed to avoid ever getting the BBC folk lifetime achievement award. His legacy will continue.
  11. It may well be. I think it is often said in the context of, isn't it ironic that he cared about animals but not humans. But caring about animals probably wasn't the reason he was vegetarian, if he was. With the other thing I mentioned, the drive wasn't environmental but in the national interest. Bio diesal and wind power were options open to Germany when oil was scarce domesticly. Food would have been in shortage too (i think?) so perhaps letting it be known that he was a vegetarian (even if he wasn't) might have been the seen as setting an example that others would follow to make food go further. this is pish...what does this have to do with the post..... i'l post it anyway since i wrote it. p.s i quite fancy trout and butter sauce now
  12. Hitler was a vegetarian, promoted wind power and used bio diesel. He said "The German countryside must be preserved under all circumstances, for it is and has forever been the source of strength and greatness of our people." I did a project a while back on nazi Germany and the environmental movement, quite interesting in a disturbing kind of way. This is a good site about it: Nazi Germany and Environment
  13. The Indian guy who stands on union street/terrace junction drumming up custom for his business.. "Come eat lunch, it's real Indian food, not British Indian food, thank fuck for that"
