hmv is a good pick from a shit bunch to be fair. and the prices are pretty reasonable...

a triple markup isn't sensible, because people buying fugazi records know how much they're meant to be paying for them, and won't buy them. dischord releases in this country shouldn't be marked over a tenner in shops really. dischord isn't JUST a website it's a record label and it has fucking LOADS of overheads compared to the cavern, what with it having physical shops, producing records, recording records, pressing records, paying bands, funding gigs, and having a website.

cover bands suck. the odd cover is awesome though. negative approach covering borstal breakout by sham 69 is a pretty big one for me.

yeah, they've got the buy our records from itunes and we just signed to a label which automatically means we're gonna be big and our dad's flying us to florida vibe but it's really not that bad. the vocals are pretty cool and sound like some lo-fi 80's garage vocalist off some killed by death compilation. the music's average and they look like a bit silly but fuck it they're impressionable fifteen year olds for fucks sake. when i was fifteen i still thought rancid were the best band in the world ever. give em a break and stop riding them cos they've got expensive haircuts. and could any of you seriously play guitar that well when you were fifteen? who cares that towers of london are their favourite band, not everyone reads maximum rock and roll every month. so many worse bands out there, so many more. i guess the clothes they wear makes them an easy target, but whatever.

Best Result of the Year - Spurs winning Carling Cup. Best Purchase of the year - My Guitar YAS MINs of the year - Girlfriend!!! Biggest Dissapointment - Boring as fuck housemates.
