I speak for myself on this one NOT my band. I'm not trying to change the world or anything, I just state my opinion & leave it at that. First up I'm getting tired of hearing all these dance/trance or what ever they hell you call it, artists taking a decent song "re-mixing" it and making it sound like crap! I've heard better songs come from my ass! I'm not saying I dont like dance music, Some of it is alright, but come on people, there is so much more you can do with dance music, why dont they make their own tunes up instead of re-mixing other peoples? Then there is all these I am "true" metal", "Slipknot sucks" people who dont have a damn clue what its all about in the first place! People who walk around shoveling shit about other bands is just pathetic & lack of back bone in my book! Some people seem to think that I'm only into so-called "extream" metal, well here's a news flash for you, I'm not, infact the compleat opposite. most of the music I listen to these days is stuff like Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, aswell as Pantera, Slipknot, Korn & countless others, they are all killer bands! Each to their own I guess The music industry is healtyer than ever musicaly.... well aside from the re-mixes of other songs, but its so over clouded by image. Image seems to be more important than the actual music, people walking around with their grandads clothes, & all these so called "emo's" & goth's walking around with their panda bear make-up & anti bollox boots dosnt make them look good, & it dosnt make them cool either, I really dont understand what the problem with "emo's" is in the first place. Everything is emotional, making or performing somthing without is would just be dead! the music scene today is becoming far to much like organised religion, it causes far to much problems. BOLLOX! I think its time to take a step back & look at the bigger picture instead of being part of it. I am getting very sick & tired of image coming before the music. I've always done what ever I wanted musicaly & have never ever thought twice about doing this or that or have to dress like a moron to fit in. Yes I like heavy metal & death metal, I also like rap, some drum 'n' bass, some so called "Emo", rock, & some dance stuff aswell. Its about time people got out there & explored the world of music instead of shutting them selfs off to a very small portion of it, maybe then they will know what music is all about! Like I said before, Music is supposed to be fun & entertaining, Not a cause for conflict! I'm sure your all kinda tired of reading this crap by now so I'm gonna go. Take good care of yourselfs!
