  1. Just seems as if he's a poor student who's out to make money quick, society is far too sensitive nowadays, it's a joke it's not saying "kill all asians" is it?
  2. A fair few of my friends have had tattoos done at Richards, and the general view is that he's nicer to guys than women. I've got 4 tattoos, two by Ash and two by Lee and they're both great tattooists. The ones by Ash are more bold, and Lee the more delicate designs. I went into Draconian with a uni chum, and when she showed them her design she wants they basically laughed, looked at her as if she was a stupid little girl and asked "are you sure that's something you want done, it's a bit big love". She went to Retro's and they said that it's easily something they could do for her. Draconians has gone downhill recently and just looks a shabby place where kids hang out because they think it's "cool". I'd stick with Retro Rebels, Richards is a horrible atmosphere and you don't want getting a tattoo to be torture or an experience you'd rather forget. Plus Ash and Lee are both really professional and make it as quick and painless as possible.
  3. p.s. We can post out vouchers or any item you want, as we can take payment details over the phone. If you fancy a drive, then come out to Alford and pop past for a cup of coffee and a browse. If not, check out Welcome to GirlsBike2 - Motorbike clothing chosen by women for women, or Girls Bike <GirlsBike2> for the specific Aberdeen store details
  4. Well just in case anyone who's other half so happens to be a female motorbiker, remember GirlsBike2! We have some items on special offer right now Also, we do sell a range of accessories that would be great for ski-ers or snowboarders, such as warmstorm neck warmers - saves the hassle of a scarf, and can be used to keep your hair out of your way. We also have the two new ranges of HAD Headwear, the first patterned and unisex (with spider web, cobra, tiger, skull designs) and the other in a range of different colours with diamante detail. We also stock books, casual clothing such as hoodies, backpacks, helmet piggybanks, waterproof clothing etc... Also, we stock winter textile gloves that would be fantastic as snowboarding gloves - they are well padded, with rubber grips on the finger tips and velcro fastening. Hope that helps with ideas!
  5. We also have a new item in, HAD Face2Face headwear. They come in a range of different designs and colours, and can be worn in a number of ways e.g. as a bandana, balaclava, hairband, scarf etc... Great for keeping your hair under control and keeping you warm. They come in their own display box, and would be a perfect gift. They are 12.99 and can be worn by either men or women, as they are unisex. Hayley @ GB2 (Aberdeen)

  7. How did you meet? Doesn't seem that long ago that I remember everyone declaring "stop using the boards..." lol
  8. There are no boundaries with a cat, they go wherever they bloody please, including your kitchen worktops so you'd be cleaning all the time but rabbits are smelly buggers. We've got two and they need cleaned out twice a week, the boy pees all over his level of the hutch and the female in once place but she kicks all her bedding out... I'd say get a Shih Tzu!! They're fab dogs, they take a while to train but they're so cuddly, don't grow huge and are great guard dogs (they make a hell of a lot of noise if there's someone they haven't met before coming into your garden!)
  9. It's a joke, the council will fine you if you don't recycle, but won't push for more late night buses so there's less taxis on the road? Out Alford way the last bus is at half eleven and only takes you as far as Monymusk, then it's 20 to get to Alford from there... so you're 26 just to get home. No wonder there's so many drunk drivers out here - when the pubs close, everyone climbs into their car and no-one stops them!
  10. On a night out, a friend of mine (male) was wearing a lilac and silver cowboy hat, that a couple of us had drawn body parts on, on a night out. A drunken guy offered him 50 for it, had the money in his hand and was away to hand it over when my friend decided to run away laughing! I would have handed the bloody thing over but no, my chum thought it made the hat even more "ace" Numpty...
  11. Was anyone at the Motorbike Convention at the Alford Grampian Transport Museum on the 7th September? Sadly the weather wasn't great, and there weren't as many stalls as last yeat but another group are taking over for next years convention. The new hall will be built by then so the event won't be hampered by the weather! Hayley @ GirlsBike2 (Aberdeen)
  12. We will be at the Grampian Motorcycle Convention, held in Alford, on Sunday 7th September. Hope so see some of you there! Hayley @ GB2 (Aberdeen)
  13. UK - Never Gonna Give You Up, Nick Astley. (Who???) US - Whos That Girl, Madonna *groan* AUS - Locomotion - Kylie Minogue. It gets worse!!! And it just shows that Madonna and Kylie are past it and should stop trying to make "music" dancing half naked to beats in the background and whispering a few words isn't music o_O
  14. I stay in Aberdeenshire, and there is no way in hell that the teuchters who sing sound Glasgwegian. I can understand Glasgwegians, but I can't even understand half of my neighbours (I stay in a glen). When they sing, it's a garbled mix of ayes and ohs. And that isn't a generalisation! To Aberdonians (well, everyone I know and have asked) agree that "een" is "one". Where I am they think "een" means "eye"...
  15. Some people do talk very broad and why should they have to sing in a way that is completely unlike how they talk? I didn't have a scooby that Bullet for my Valentine were welsh, I thought they were American until I was skipping through music channels and the Kerrang awards were on (not that watching Kerrang is a habit...) I don't think Glasvegas sound as though the accent is put on, it sounds natural. But I have some very broad Glaswegian friends and family. My grandfather used to sing around Aberdeen (in the olden days) and there was always a hint of his accent. What is so wrong with having an accent or would you prefer everyone sounded the same?
  16. Well why is there a General Discussion forum etc...? Why aren't you complaining about all the other forums that aren't concerned with just music?
  17. Half of the husbands who come in think it's hilarious to say that... and "why does it all have to match?" while wearing brightly coloured and unmatching leathers Hayley @ GB2 (Aberdeen) x
  18. It wasn't intended to be an advert, more of a "this is what we do" and if there are any women bikers on ab-music then let me know about the problems you face and if there is anything that you think GB2 hasn't covered. Any male bikers on ab-music who have wives that have problems finding proper fitting gear? Hayley @ GB2 (Aberdeen) x
  19. It's not meant to be an advert, just more of a way of finding out what problems people have and what service they are after. I'll just keep mumping until someone replies haha x
  20. No-one know any woman bikers or is a woman biker? lol come on, feedback please
  21. Also, if you know any ladies who are bikers, please let them know about us as there are still too many people driving around with ill-fitting clothing which is dangerous! Thanks, Hayley @GB2 (Aberdeen)
  22. Hi there, GirlsBike2 is a company that specialises in providing a wide range of womens motorbike clothing and accessories. Our clothing ranges from a size 6 to a 26, we stock trousers in different leg lengths, have both leather and textile items, plus a variety of helmets, boots and other essentials. We are members of bebo/myspace/facebook and our main website is Welcome to GirlsBike2 - Motorbike clothing chosen by women for women, where you can order items online (but we advise that you try on items and get fitted correctly as each item is different and sizes can vary greatly) and find out where all our stores are. Although we are listed as the "Aberdeen" store, we are located in Alford which is on a popular bike route. I have posted this thread to find out what problems women bikers face and if there is anything else GirlsBike2 can offer that isn't already available. Our networking sites have been very successful, with great feedback, so add us if you wish to be kept up to date with new stock, dates of shows we shall be attending, if there are any alterations to opening times etc... So let me know what you think about the profiles, the main website and what we have to offer in general, cheers Hayley @GB2 (Aberdeen)
