  1. Looking for a really nice Dot neck 335? Here's a mint condition ES-335 with a spectacular flamed maple top in beautiful Cherry finish. Dot inlays, chrome hardware, great player, killer sustain and definitely has the tone! It's a 1999, meaning it was built in Nashville (not to be confused with the newer ones: from 2000 to present, 335s were built in the Memphis facility - only a few Custom Shop Historics continued to be built in Nashville). Genuine reason for sale. Looking for £1750.
  2. Please keep me posted on dates etc as I'm sure Red Dawg will be up for it. Spike
  3. Best of luck - a regular Saturday blues gig sounds great :-) Red Dawg are back up and running with a new line-up: I'll see if Janie can drop around with the latest demo to try and get a slot or two (most of demo also available on myspace.com/reddawguk ). Spike
  4. Huw - are you still looking? I have a all valve Laney GH100L head plus a matching 4x12 angle cab that I rarely use if you're interested. I bought them new in the mid-late 90's from Chandlers in Kew (based on reviews of a number of new boutique-type amps I read at the time). It sounds great, and was unusual at the time because you can use either 6L6s or EL34s (it has a bias switch). Another cool thing is the effects loop return can be set to bypass, series or parallel (with a blend pot). Check out reviews on Harmony Central (Laney GH100L: Harmony Central User Reviews) and if interested you can try it out at our rehearsal place in central Aberdeen. Genuine reason for sale by the way (too many amps!). Spike
  5. Great looking and sounding strat. Genuine reason for sale. "Crafted in Japan" was for domestic market only (I imported it in 2001) - these are generally considered to be as good has the American reissues (and come loaded with US Texas Special PUs as standard) - see Serials, dates of manufacture, Fender Stratocasters, Made in Japan, Crafted in Japan and CIJ vs. MIJ ... what's the difference? - The Gear Page for some background info. Used ones generally go for around 550 (see Far East Guitars, used Fender Japan guitars for sale) - I'm looking for offers around 460 for quick sale or will possibly trade for similarly-priced/quality bass guitar. Pics available, plus you're welcome to try it out in our central Aberdeen rehearsal room. Spike
  6. Couldn't agree more with Triggs - Dennis Marshal is your man :-) He sorted out 3 of my amps this year: obviously very knowledgable, high standard of work, and a nice bloke to deal with. Highly recommended. Spike
  7. Andy, I may well be interested. We have a rehearsal on Sunday at 4pm - fancy meeting up at say 3:30 with both guitars? To arrange you can email me at spikeevans@tiscali.co.uk Cheers, Spike

  9. Experienced drummer wanted for RED DAWG (blues influenced band with some funk and rock thrown in). Current line-up is lead vocal/sax, bass and two guitars. If interested please email spikeevans@tiscali.co.uk
  10. Kybosh, I'm really after an early 80s, but if I can't source one in the next few weeks I may be interested thanks. What year is it? Spike
  11. Non - Squire model preferred. Or a 82/83 Fullerton 52 RI :-) Spike
  12. JCM800 50W Combo Scottboy - I guess you've left Aberdeen now, but I've only just spotted your ad. Do you still have the combo for sale and if so where are you now?
