  1. Good Thread. Read through it all and probably agree with most of what plinth said in his longish post a couple of pages back. Strange in a 10 page thread on punk that there is no mention of bands such as Stranglers, Damned, Buzzcocks, The Saints, but Tom Robinson was hailed as a good old punk because he was openly gay...... FFS! Listening to some Hank 111 at the moment, I think his stuff is classed as HellBilly, but it is just a country variation of punk, or is it?
  2. The Beatles - Baby It's You Linda Ronstadt - Tracks of My Tears Danny Wilson - Knowing Me Knowing You Placebo - 20th Century Boy
  3. That'll be The Zebra Lounge. The George was also The Lodge ( upstairs I think ). The Venue at the Douglas Hotel was previously called The Flamingo. The Argo across The Shiprow. The Drift Inn also on the Ship Row The Highland Hotel when it was in Dee Street The Crescent on Bon Accord Crescent The Hayloft when it was above The Palace Bar in Bridge Place next to The Palace / Fusion / Ritzy / Liquid Jimmy Wilsons / Willie Millers doon behind the Old Market, has been strippers and might even be a gay bar now?
  4. Liked the first one. Very Ramones. Followed the slagging match comments on YT I had to listen to MCR version. Misfits definitely better. Listened to a few others on YT and didn't like them too heavy for me. I bought an album on spec recently which is a bit like this lot. The Dementeds? Don't like it.
