Proceed havnt been in aberdeen this year so it will be well worth checking them out
, heres a little bit about the band;Formed in 2008, but with roots extending back to the members classroom days, Proceed have spent the last two years figuring things out, crafting, creating and coming of age, striving for a sound beyond the boundaries of the norm something, indeed, to claim as theirs. The result of this musical voyage is deb...ut mini album Curious Electric, a territorial pissing of wild ambition and monstrous competence that sees Proceed blossoming as musicians, songwriters and, most importantly, a collective - this is the sound of a band truly in charge of their art, a point only emphasised by the fact that the album was self funded, produced and recorded, the latter single-handedly by frontman Daniel Lancaster.
A sophisticated, musically erudite assembly of songs that chain complex arrangements and a progressive timbre to huge and highly infectious pop sensibilities, Curious Electric will have you hooked and intrigued, its vibrant musical alchemy a rare strike against the homogenised silt of Proceeds would be peers.
Its not every day you need both your thinking cap and your sing-along spirit, but then albums like Curious Electric are hardly a dime a dozen. After all, we wouldnt call it magic if they were.

Mimi soya are returning to aberdeen for the first time in a good while
MiMi Soya are a pop-rock Brighton-based quartet, who are ready to take on the world with their huge pop anthems, sunny, addictive melodies and stirring guitar riffs.
Formed in the British summer of 2006, MiMi Soya began when three old school friends from Horley were signed to LAB Records (The Auteur, Lost on Campus), and it was all up from there. They found their front woman Jorja, who made a big impression and just four days after she passed her audition, she joined the band on a ten-date UK tour with other LAB acts.
Highlights on their career include when they played at Wembley Stadium for a crowd of 30,000 last August for the Nike Human Race, following acts such as Moby and Pendulum. They have also recently completed a UK sell-out tour with Cobra Starship, Sing it Loud and Cash Cash, which took place in May 2009.
The bands most recently released EP Four Penny Knee Trembler sold a whopping 5,000 copies in the last year, which included their anthemic track, Deathwish and the more rocky Dont Forget to Breathe, which became available for purchase on iTunes.
The infectious energy of MiMi Soyas live shows, with their powerfully catchy pop-songs will have you hooked. Be sure to catch them at this show!

yeaa i guess so,
but each to their own, personally i prefer larger bills
, gives more local bands the chance to play with theese bigger bands, and there was originally 7 bands and thats why doors are so early, and i dont want the thing going on too late
