Can anyone recommend a vocal tutor for my 13 yr old? School cutbacks mean long waiting lists for tutors via the school music department. She wants to take Music as a subject in 3rd year and needs vocals as her 2nd "instrument". Cheers! Sandra

Just had a good night with my 13 yr old at the Lemon Tree...her first proper intimate gig! Hells Bells were great fun and the support "Engraved" fae Turra were VERY good if a bit heavy for me...talented young lads. Cup of tea and feet up now for the old wifie!

I know! but by the time she leaves school, no doubt us poor suckers north of the border will be stumping up for Uni's too. When's the election..May? bet there will be changes after that no doubt. Oh well, who needs a retirement?

No sign of it on the Strathclyde Uni website anymore...Google listed the petition to save the course last year!...looks like it has been a victim of cuts in Education...crazy, as it was a very popular course looking at the past commentary.?(

Can anyone out there recommend (or otherwise!) a Uni /College to study for a degree in Popular music...performing/production etc... My 13 year old is planning her future! serious business! and has to pick her subjects for standard grades in February, we are looking at courses to see whuch subjects are required, but would be interested to hear any experiences, good or bad, of colleges/Uni's.
