Great result at the Britannia today, place was absolutely bouncing i hear. Arsenal have never been happier with us, i think its fair to say!! It sounded like we played some decent stuff second half aswell, MOTD is going to be ace tonight either way. I wouldnt count out combos is my five penneth, you can play them through your cab no problem. They take pedals really - really well, especially your Fender ones ( HotRod Deluxe et al ) My advice would be, there is more choice of amplifier head now than ever, go and enjoy trying them out and find the right one for you. You can pay what price you want for whatever you want, you can buy vintage amps, new amps or new amps that sound like vintage amps, whatever you want, someone will make it if needs be! The only thing i would say is, if you are hell bent on using pedals you have to try out the amp before you buy it, some newer heads ( in my opinion ) especially the hi gain variety, dont like distortion / fuzz pedals very much.

It feels wierd saying this having suffered as many hangovers throughout my life as i have, but ive never had a pie sandwich. At least like this one. I recently aquired one of these little fellas, its a belter!!. Got speaking to the guy who makes them, non other than Brad Davis, bassist of Fu Manchu!!, he was saying he had modded one for a customer who had failed to buy it, the mod was a second knob on the right hand side ( thats not on this photo ) that basically "turns up the fuzz". If you back it off, and turn up the big knob in the centre( huh huh ) it bascially acts like a distortion, with a hint of fuzz!! COOL STORY DUDE!!! Dan Armstrong + Fuzzbud + Fender Hotrod Deluxe = Death Machine!!!

Nothing against this place but i always get / got better results from gumtree. If you search on Facebook for "Aberdeen musicians wanted" i put a page up for folks to post on aswell, its not fantastic but theres a reasonable amount of people joined up. Food for thought.

I really enjoyed the remake of Total Recall, obviously it was almost completely different than the original, I also really like the Grudge remake ( ducks for cover ). Better than the originals? nah, but i think theyre my favourites.

Definately, listened to it twice yesterday and could have gone again! theres literally no bad songs on it. The second tune ( Witchcraft??? ) is absolute killer!!
