  1. Nah, that's a tune. Ahhh loooike to make moiiiself belieeeeve...
  2. Haha, told you I didn't know anything. It's something Word-y though, right?
  3. I don't know anything about websites, but I like this. Minimalist. One wee touch of constructive criticism, from a Joe Public point of view. The homepage with the keyboard is cool, but I'm not sure about the bio bit under that, it just seems a wee bit dull? Maybe changing the font from Times New Roman would help things out?
  4. Ouch. BBC Sport - Football - Montrose 4-5 Stranraer
  5. The Finnieston Cran sketch was genius.
  6. Hopefully I'll rattle together enough cash for a Fender Blues Junior. I'd also dearly love a decent reverb pedal. Any suggestions?
  7. Yas! What a game it was, I haven't seen anything that emphatic in years, if ever. The Woods debacle looks like it could ruin all the hard work though. The entire crowd seemed to be aware of the problem before kick-off, but it seems that McIntyre, Leish et al were happy that he wasn't suspended. If there was any doubt at all, surely Woods wouldn't have played? Apparently the club are say they have correspondence from SFA assuring them he wasn't suspended. They better do, or this will be one massive embarassment.
  8. Very much looking forward to hearing the finished article!
  9. I always thought this was just terrible

  11. BBC News - Danish police shoot intruder at cartoonist's home I remember being shocked at the time by the flag-burny overreation to a bit of satire, but I didn't realise this was an on-going thing. Mental. The boy lives in a 'heavily fortified' house with constant police protection and there's a $1 million bounty on his head. Imagine having to live your life in constant fear because of a cartoon.
  12. The comedy value of this thread has plunged rapidly in the last few pages.
  13. When people ask 'was santa good to you?' Eh no actually, on the basis he's not a real person. We're both adults, what are you talking about? Do you think it's somehow... funny? Witty? It's not. It wouldn't even be funny if you were the first person in the world to say it. Which you're not. This is especially irritating when delivered with a knowing wink and/or a doric accent; 'wis suntie guid til ye?'. Shudder.
  14. I haven't seen Oxbow or Evill Neill, and I was underwhelmed by Winter in Siberia. I reckon the Little Kicks are still probably the best indie band in Aberdeen, but they've won it plenty so I'm going for Marionettes because they have good tunes, seem like nice guys and put in a lot of hard work.
  15. They're certainly overrated, but hateful?
  16. The West End one is quality, but I've heard it can be murder at weekends...
  17. If the PS1 was a band, they'd be shit.
  18. Goldeneye was pretty much the first shoot-em-up game to place emphasis on stealth, rather than running in and blowing things to pieces like the majority of the mindless pash available on PS1. I have no idea what you mean when you say 'it looked warped.' It just didn't. A quick swatch at wikipedia reveals it won Console Action Game of the Year, Console Game of the Year, Intereactive Title of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Intactive Design in 1998. The magazine Computer and Video Games voted it the top of the a list of the Hundred Best Video Games in 2000. Game FAQs voted it 7th Best Game of all Time in 2007, which shows its enduring appeal. Seriously, it is widely thought of as one of the best games of all time. Even by people who hate the N64. I agree that football titles were the N64's weak spot, but it really kicked arse in most other genres. What N64 games have you played? Because I really can't grasp why you think the graphics are bad. Also, I fail to see how anyone can think Zelda: Ocarina of Time is anything less than an absolutely epic, earth-shatteringly brilliant game. The N64 just offered so much more in terms of the depth of game play on offer. Some of the levels and worlds in the better games were absolutely massive compared to anything even remotely possible on the PS1. Even with minute-long loading times.
  19. The games looked worse? WHAT? Have you played Driver? The PS1 looked awful next to the might of the N64. Have you played Perfect Dark on the N64? Astonishing graphics. Fifa games were never good on the N64, you want to play the ISS series, which again was MILES better than Fifa at the time. Plus, the N64 didn't have to load every 60 seconds like the awful, awful Playstation. Oh my. Now I know you're joking. The games on the PS1 were terrible. On the N64 you had the groundbreakingly epic Zelda games, which were just unbelievable for the time and remain gaming classics. Then you've got the undisputed best shoot-em-up EVER in Goldeneye. The afformentioned Perfect Dark was brilliant, and easily graphically the best game of that generation of console. Then there's Mario Kart, one of the best mulitplayer games of all time. I'm just stunned by how wrong you are. Sounds like someone used to playing with Playstation contollers. Seriously, the N64 is one of the best consoles ever.
  20. Mimo's on Ashton Lane in the West End. That whole area is pretty much great for wallet-friendly lunchtime deals.
