  1. Also if Horfords was a flagrant 2 in the last game so was Howard last night.

Hope Steph isn't troubled after that fall last night.  I want GS to win it all!

  2. No idea why Bamford played to the end of the game today, he didn't even look fit enough for 30 minutes nevermind the full game.

Was watching with my Middlesbrough supporting in laws, was a pretty shit game for a Boro fan.  Don't know why they didn't go for it in the last 20 minutes at least, he didn't even throw the kitchen sink at them, he just made the one sub!  Who cares if you lose another goal or two, no one remembers the score, they just remember who goes up and who doesn't!!

  3. Yeah they had fight but it's the playoffs, if a team can't play hard and to the death in the playoffs they shouldn't be in basketball.

Yeah the Hawks and Cavs are top tier but that's what the East has been for years.  The Bulls too were on the verge maybe a little more time with DRose actually playing and they'd be better.

Look at the West though 5/6 of those teams could have got to the finals and could really take on the winner of the East to 6/7 games.  East has got much better than 5 years ago but the West has so much depth.

  4. I'm loving the playoffs.  I still find it difficult to care about the East if I'm honest.  The Heat have been replaced by the Cavs and it's business as usual.

The West is terrific and it's amazing seeing teams that haven't been up there for a while back.  I want Golden State to win it all.  Steph has been unbelievable and I don't think Houston has what it takes to beat them over a series.  I think it will be 4-1 or 4-2.

  5. It's not brilliant, but they're hampered by the 10 episode structure and the need to keep all the other storylines moving at the same time. They just can't do justice to every part of the story.  On the plus side it does mean we get more of Bronn on screen, which if they hadn't made the changes from the book we probably wouldn't have so there's that.  His dialogue is the best bit of the Dornish escapade so far.

Also, with Dorn, were they not filming large parts of it in Spain?  Why was Jaime and Bronn's horse ride to the gardens over distinctly Irish and cold looking grassy dunes?

Yeah they can't do it all justice but they are butchering the Sand Snakes.  Obarra has mono logged that she is Oberyn's daughter in both her scenes so far... for no real reason.

I didn't think the dunes looked that cold, it was maybe just meant to be dusk time?  They filmed most of it near here and it is quite grassy in the picture.

  6. How bad are the scenes in Dorne this season.  I'm reading the book the current season is loosely based on at the moment and the pacing of what happens in Dorne is much better.

In the TV show it doesn't even seem to make sense.  First time we saw the sand snakes they were deciding to take their own revenge, next we see they are already trying to kidnap her (with no plan).

They also just happen to go at exactly the same time as Jaime and Bronn, convenient.  Their plan was equally non existent as well, why not have Bronn just walk up to Myrcella say he's their on Prince Doran's command and they go meet Jaime so he is not spotted.

It just seems really rushed and poorly written, it's ruining Dorne and Dorne is really good in the book (I'm not a total book wanker but the whole Dorne part is being butchered in the show, Obarra Sand especially is the worst character in the show).

  7. That Tannehill contract is a bit nuts to me?  Makes him in the top 5 or so paid Qbs in the league and he's certainly not that, I mean I think he could be good but not top 5 good right now.

Makes the complaining Bengals fans ideas about Dalton's contract much less valid.  Kaep's deal is looking pretty good as well.

  8. Not enough for me, I know it was a total stomp game anyway but you can't cheat in the playoffs.

Championship should be stripped in my opinion.  Sends a message.

  9. Scherff is seen as a Guard though isn't he?  A guard maybe tackle?

Seems a reach to me, I wouldn't presume to know better than the redskins glorious draft team though.

Jets fans should be happy anyway.

Niner fans are losing their shit despite picking up extra picks (a 4 and a 5 as well, not even garbage picks) and getting a man rated 12 on the scouts ratings.  He's only 21 as well, a project pick but bags of potential.

  10. Just 1 this year.  Number 15.  We got 2 4's and 2 7's as well so we might move a little later on I guess.

Baalke has done well in the drafts to date, especially with acquiring extra picks.

  11.

I've just started "Along Came A Spider" by James Patterson. I've only read one of his books before but I liked it. This is number 20 of my 50 book challenge.

The others I've read so far this year, on a four point scale from shite to great:

    Stephenie Meyer - "Twilight" (shite)

Holly Goddard Jones - "The Next Time You See Me" (alright)

Iain Hyslop - "Is the Baw Burst?: A Long Suffering Supporter's Search for the Soul of Scottish Football" (shite)

Sarah Silverman - "The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee" (alright)

JK Rowling - "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)" (great)

Roddy Doyle - "The Snapper (The Barrytown Trilogy, #2)" (good)

Roddy Doyle - "The Commitments (The Barrytown Trilogy, #1)" (alright)

Lee Price - "Turning My Back on the Premier League" (good)

David Wong - "John Dies at the End" (shite)

R.D Reynolds - "The Death of WCW: 10th Anniversary Edition" (alright)

Michael Connelly - "The Black Echo" (Harry Bosch, #1) (good)

Thom Fell - "Acceptable in the Eighties" (good)

J.K Rowling - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (Harry Potter, #6) (great)

    Chuck Palahniuk - "Pygmy" (shite)

James Crosbie - "Peterhead Porridge: Tales From The Funny Side Of Scotland's Most Notorious Prison" (alright)

Richard Wiseman - "59 Seconds: Think a Little, Change a Lot" (shite)

Chris Jericho - "The Best in the World: At What I Have No Idea" (alright)

Richard Bachman (Stephen King) - "Thinner" (good)

    Stephen King - "22/11/63" (great)

James Patterson is my favourite "airport novel" writer.

I really enjoyed a bunch of his Alex Cross series.  I'm sure you'd enjoy them as well if you haven't already!

  12. Media seems to think Klopp is leaving Dortmund today.

Don't know if he'd like it at City if they go for him.  He's used to Dortmund building with their youth and a really huge, passionate and loyal fanbase.  Pretty much the anti City.

  13. Same here.

On the ads thing I think it's a recent thing as I had the option of paying extra for no ads when I bought my fire at the end of last year.

Not sure because I bought my kindle paperwhite in February and it doesn't have any.

  14. Yeah, I've never played Classic on the PC either. So is that 3 active leagues with the rest being passive? So you can only manage in those leagues? I believe there's a 30 season limit too.

Yeah three active countries you can manage in, you get all the leagues in those countries though.

  15. Biggest limitation so far is the size of game. Only three countries per game but you can have all their leagues still.

Touch screen moving stuff does take getting used to. It's good so far I haven't played classic mode on PC though so can't really compare.

It's also a bit annoying not being able to mod in the club badges for EPL.
