I quite like the niners draft. I love our pick at 7 but need Armstead from last year to take a step up this year if they are going to be dominant enough to stand up in our division. Interesting to see what will happen with our OL as well as our RT who took a year out wants to come back but he doesn't get on with the GM? I think we'll get 4/5 wins and Chip will take a QB in the first round next year.

Yeah can't see Tunsil making it to us but I would be just as happy with Stanley. I'm hoping Bosa slips but can't see him getting past you guys if he does... The hype seems to have died around him though and I have no idea why. He looked so NFL ready in college.

It's draft week! Who do you want? I'm pretty happy that teams are reaching for the QBs as we wont sign one. We have too many weaknesses to go all in on a QB now. Hoping for an OT or an edge rusher.

I'm doing ok on the 50 book challenge this year. Slowed down the last week or two but I've done 15/50 so far, so on track. Nothing particularly clever all fiction nonsense but most have been good. Was really disappointed with UBIK (Phillip K Dick) as I've enjoyed everything else of his I've read and this was super highly rated. The Martian was a joy to read, I haven't seen the film and probably wont but the book was excellent. I'm usually dubious of bestsellers like that but this one was worth it. Quite technical in his details of THE BOSS Mark Watney surviving 9/10.

Doesn't make much sense, I guess they can't afford to not have a hit at QB with Hue in charge. So double their chances of finding the guy, especially after the Manziel disaster. Every Mock has 49ers taking one of the QBs, Wentz or Goff. Not huge on it myself, too many holes elsewhere that a QB can't solve.

Man, $17 million a year for a guy with 7 starts and an average rating playing with the best defence in the NFL. I'm not sure about that Houston. I admire the ambition but it's all a bit Kevin Kolb for me. Niners doing nothing but re signing our TE and DT. That's fine with me we need to draft well not make a huge splash in free agency.

I think if Dallas aren't going to draft a QB with their 1st rounder this year. I think they'd be better taking a chance on dodgy knees RG3. He'd more than likely get to sit behind Romo and learn something this year and if he impresses he has all the talent to take over from Romo. He's less of a publicity risk than Manziel and probably has more upside as well. I mean with Romo and Dez coming back and assuming they upgrade in the RB position that's a pretty great offense. They can afford to use that pick on the future QB or just take a highly rated safe defensive prospect and really go for it now.

Draft season up next. You reckon the two Qbs Lynch and Goff go too high? Who drafts em? I hope the niners stay clear of QBs and give Kaep another go. Too much talent to just release when there's a whole new regime he could thrive in. Dream would be seeing Ramsey slip down to us or Bosa (no way he makes it past 5 unless he has a horrendous combine).

Yeah Peyton should go out on top. I think people really underestimated how good the Broncos secondary was before this game. That Panthers WR core was over performing all season and when it came down to it they just couldn't get open in time against the Broncos DBs (not helped by Cam having about 2 seconds to throw before Von and Ware got to him). It was interesting the difference with the Broncos secondary compared to the game against Seattle (both of whom have great DBs) because Cam couldn't just rely on Greg Olson to get open because the Broncos safeties actually play great pass coverage unlike Chancellor in Seattle.

I think the Broncos need to be in the game at half time and then I can see them winning. If they fall behind they will have to do more on offense than they want to and it'll allow the Panthers to play safe on their offense so less chance of the Denver D scoring. I agree on Peyton, I cannot understand any pundit that wants/wanted Osweiler to start even a gimped Peyton is a much better option than him. As long as Peyton doesn't try to be the hero and keeps checking to runs when he knows he has an easy gain. Osweiler can't do that stuff, he just gives you a better arm which isn't going to be enough to dissect this Panthers D.

Yeah I'd love Peyton to finish with the Superbowl win. That would also make him 2-2 in the big game, which isn't so bad, everyone is always ragging on him for his postseason record. That said Cam is my favourite player not in SF. It's just fun to watch him and he's having such a great time. I called the Denver winning with defence! Pressure Brady, that line is/was not good. NFL network were shitting on Peyton all week leading up to the Champ game. Neil Reynolds on the Sky broadcast as well, saying they should start Osweiler as they have a better chance to win. What a load of shit. I really don't like Reynolds he doesn't add anything to the sky show, he just regurgitates things that have been said/written all week in the US media.

Happy the Broncos. Panthers and Cards got through, don't mind any of them getting the championship. Would be a good end for Fitz or Peyton and you cant help but love Cam. Saw a lot already about how the Pats will destroy the Broncos, I didn't think Broncos looked that bad, defence is something special. They didn't even pressure Ben as much as normal, Brady could be running for his life. The Broncos receivers dropped a lot of balls against the Steelers. Some of it you can put on Manning but there were balls bouncing off chests and face masks. If the Broncos D shows up, we could be in for a real game. I'd be more worried about either team coming out of the NFC than the 2 from the AFC.

It's just about spreading the exposure of the sport and if it takes off in Aus the 49ers will be best positioned to take advantage of that with following already. Your right its not that big in the end but its just a matter of spreading your brand as far as you can.

Hayne even as a return man was showing promise another off season and learn to not fumble he at least will have a role there. He's so good for business, SF is the most popular now in Aus by a long shot so the fact he has some talent is icing on the cake for Jed.

I have no idea. It could go really well as unlike the Eagles were not giving him the keys to the car in terms of personnel. We also have a talented mobile QB which you would think would suit Kelly. The defence isn't in as bad shape as you would think (except the CBs). Our starting RT is coming back after his year of "retirement", or so he said on social media. Decent draft and we'll be looking towards a 9-10 win season if we can at least go 500 in the division (which is tough). Kelly vs York could also be a murder though. Have to hope York is true to his word and actually does take a step back. More personally I like it. It's a serious appointment of a coach who had great success in college and could really build something in SF. Glad we didn't go for Shanahan who was runner up apparently. TLDR: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ could go either way easily.

I agree on the Seahawks, I already hated them but they seem to get one free play every game with Wilson scrambling. The defenders aren't allowed to hit him, even if he is clearly a runner at that point and not out of bounds or sliding. As soon as you hit him more than a tap its a penalty. He's been getting away with absolute murder for 2 years now! There was a game earlier this year when they got a personal foul for shoving him out when he was already out when he was a solid two feet from the sideline. How are you supposed to defend against that. Felt for the Vikings, one guy over pursues Wilson and it gives up the huge play, that was a great play by Wilson though. Keeping his eyes downfield while recovering to scramble.

Great wild card games. Felt for the VIkings, their defence was dominant that game, only gave up one play that led to the TD and they still should have won! Need to score TDs though, settling for 4 FGs is always risky business. Wish I'd been able to stay up for the end of the Steelers Bengals game. Was a crazy finish. Chiefs Texans was a joke but the Texans were bad all season, they weren't going to realise how to play in the post season. Green Bay Washington was a good watch, Washington finally have something to build on it seems.

I saw in the news today they are expecting Payton to go for a draft pick. Probably a 4th or so, will be interesting to see how much interest that draws. I just hope the Niners stay away from old coaches, they need to rebuild in SF so a younger coach is much preferable.

Black Monday. I see coaches expressing interest in the Niners job, Shanahan and Chip. I'd be interested to see if Chip could get Kaep back to doing anything like he was the Superbowl year. I think that ship has sailed though. I wouldn't want him in charge of personnel like he was in Philly as well. There were some strange and just terrible moves there.

I watched the Warriors Cavs game on Xmas after everyone had gone to sleep. It's amazing seeing them win low scoring games as well as high. Green is a phenomenal player, he plays at least 4 positions every game. Hoping someone else from the East goes to the finals this year. West looking tough as always, Spurs, Warriors conference finals would likely be better than the actual finals at this rate.

I fucking love weird looking kits, they're the best. I'm still gutted a young me got rid of this one when I was younger. The pink one just looks like a training top though.
