  1. The National are recording just now so that tops my wishlist. Others I'll look out for are: Joy Formidable Atoms for Peace Johnny Marr Suede Jimmy Eat World The Black Keys Hoping Doves might make a comeback from hiatus this year as well.
  2. The Dons had an Aussie striker called David Zdrilic who played in this game. I remember reading an interview and he was talking about this match (in which he scored 8 of the goals) and said he felt really sorry for the goalie as not only did he lose 31 goals but Zdrilic put his laces through the ball at one point and smacked it off the keepers face breaking his nose.
  3. You'd think a reading champion could cope with an autocue better than that. And I remember the overhead kick, think it may have been against Killie and went something like this. At the Merkie end - ball crossed in from the right - Dazzler lines up an overhead kick - "NO...YOU'LL FUCK IT UP" - catches it sweet, textbook technique - cleared off the line. It would have been his finest moment if some jobsworth centre half hadn't covered for his keeper.
  4. Aye, I read a book about Barca recently and Iniesta and Messi were on the verge of being shifted out by Rijkaard due to their size. The most disgusting thing was Alex McLeish was close to scoring them both on loan for Rangers apparently but the board told Rijkaard to make up his mind and either play them or put them out. Thankfully he chose to play them and they missed out on a tax free payday.
  5. I think this is a point that would be interesting if he took over at Chelsea. Guardiola isn't afraid to make bold moves such as the above. One of his first actions when he took over at Barca was to ship out the personalities such as Deco and Ronaldinho (Eto'o was apparently given a second chance until he decided to backchat in training). One thing Chelsea don't lack are bellends in the dressing room so I wonder if he'd wield the axe, which quite frankly would be funny as fuck if Terry got ditched. Anyway, I hope he doesn't go to Chelsea as Craig Brown can't go on forever so the Dons will be looking for a new coach soon.
  6. I loved the "You're shit. You're shit too" bit!
  7. I think you'll all find this is the best goal ever scored. Gave the keeper the eyes then lobbed him. Top that Zlatan!
  8. SPL - Rangers = Greatest league in the world. The EPL can shove their Andy Gray trademark on that up their arses.

    Your bets

Aye, they were 3.75 on Skybet today so worth a few pounds.

Fancying a punt on Anzhi to beat Liverpool tonight, good odds on Skybet. Anyone know what sort of side Anzhi put out in the Europa League?

Out of interest, what are the US laws? I generally use Skybet for football but my coupons have been getting fucked by last minute goals this season. I'd be able to quit my job if teams learned to close out games. Often have a few wee punts at online Blackjack to nudge my account up a bit as well.
  12. Trigger could beat MilnerD in a sprint over 100 metres. Discuss. Today has been a bad day for ex-Dons. http://news.stv.tv/north/195647-former-dons-player-on-the-run-after-being-given-18-month-jail-term/
  13. I only saw one clip last night but it looked like he kicked the ball in frustration rather than delibrately launching the ball at the crowd (did the ball even go into the crowd?). If it was intentionally launched into the opposition support then yes, red card but to me the ball was in front of him and he kicked it in frustration of the situation.
  14. Surely the ref showing a red card could have caused as much trouble as kicking the ball away? There was already a serious amount of tension on the park and to me he had lost control of the situation and felt the need to react. If it was a red card offence then call the player(s) to the referees office after the game to issue punishment then. He could have got a reaction from his actions as much as Rose got one for kicking the ball away. His priority should have been to resolve the situation and get the players off the park and then deal with punishments. It's difficult to be a ref at the best of times and he should have received better assistance from anyone in a position of authority (stewards, police, etc) but he couldn't handle what was going on in front of him. Not a red in my opinion though.
  15. I like having a CD collection and fully intend to keep adding to it. I generally only use iTunes as a preview and download or use Amazon if I can't get what I'm looking for in One Up. You're always likely to find a few gems or bargains by raking around on the shelves and I prefer this far more than browsing through websites. Unfortunately I'm probably in the minority who still like this and we have a generation coming through who only know about downloads, iTunes, Spotify and will continue with this as they get older. I think it is great how everyone is getting behind One Up and independent stores with the threat of them closing but with the convenience of the internet and the shift in buying behaviour it's maybe just prolonging the inevitable. I really hope they can survive in some form or another so when I'm an auld mannie I can still root around for some decent buys. If this happens I can at least look forward to teleporting down or sending a robot in to do my shopping so I guess there are some positivies to look forward to.
  16. I watched the press conference online and the revised figures were read out. Seems like he was going about 100mph faster than that and went through the sound barrier. I wonder if folk complained because it made their windows rattle?
  17. I thought it was a penalty. He tripped over his own leg but the contact from Maloney, which even he has held his hands up to, was enough to put him off his stride. We'd be screaming for it if it was at the other end of the park. In actual fact, Bale made a good run to get ahead of Maloney as from there he is either getting fouled or the defending player has to completely back off. Charlie Adam can get to fuck for not closing down at the second goal though. That's basic defending he's getting wrong.
  18. Very true, it actually makes grown men cry.
  19. I saw them play at The Lemon Tree when it was with the guys from the Descendents, decent gig. The Evan Dando solo show at The Forum about 8 or so years ago was an absolute belter as well. He must have played about 30-35 songs that night and spent part of the night asking my pal Nick for smokes. Well good!
  20. I seriously hope there is a tour with this lineup.
  21. Apparently John Lydon was booked onto the Pan Am flight that blew up over Lockerbie but his wife took so long packing her case they missed it. That's what I learned today.
  22. Don't have this one but have been listening to Longest Year a fair bit recently. Absolutely brilliant. Have to get a few more of their albums actually.
  23. Here's a face only a fist could love.
  24. That sounds a bit worrying. My understanding is the sale of Pittodrie was how we were going to service our debt so obviously it changes everything if the new stadium doesn't go ahead. The final paragraph didn't make great reading either.
  25. Japandroids - Celebration Rock. Absolutely sensational! Gene - As Good As It Gets; The Best of. They were a bit dull at times but they had some cracking singles.
