  1. Spot on. Thats whats missing in the new stuff, good riffs that you'd want to learn how to play. bit of a shame. the live DVDs still a beast.
  2. Fit like 'en! i know by now the forum is probably on to something a million miles away from the orginal topic, but i saw it and thought id stick in my 20 pence piece Me and the rest of the guys in Enrapture thought that the Red Battle was simply asking way too much of local bands and their fans. Now to be fair, playing at Moshulu was cool, getting that chance got the attention of a lot of the bands. The text voting thing also seemed decent at first, showed us how supportive people can be in town, wanting us to do well. As a one off it was pretty cool. After that we started seeing problems. All that money paid for tickets and texts was only for one round; i think how it went down was that you were meant to do that 3 times in aberdeen before you got to a regional battle. The ticket prices were really steep, and for the 2nd round they even added a couple quid to the ticket price! We felt the whole thing was asking way too much, we couldnt really see the point in hassling fans to pay for overpriced tickets and constantly send texts. We thought if anything we'd just piss folk off and lose fans. There was also nothing to stop anyone from putting a ton of credit into their phones and spending the day texting their band through, so its hard to rate it as a genuine band battle. Take it easy guys.
  3. Haha yeh i bet thats what carol vorderman was thinking before she'd had enough I too miss kef, i liked its layout. Origin is only fun if you want to watch people fall on the asses, i swear 3 chicks in 20 minutes! its grimey.....
  4. Hey everyone, i'm Scott from Enrapture. Basically, i came home from work yesterday to find a message from radio1 rockshow presenter Daniel P Carter asking if we would mind having our song "The Truth Aside" featured as the Unsigned Artists Track of the Week! 7 hours later and sure enough, the songs played out and the song is to be featured on the podcast. Hearing it was probably the proudest moment in my life, and I have to give thanks to Aberdeens Music scene for giving us the gigs and the confidence to keep witing and playing. To hear it go to BBC - Radio 1 - Rock Show and listen about 1 hour 8 mins into it. Later
  5. The tune has now been added to the jukebox too. Also, for anyone thats interested I used Acoustica Beatrcraft for laying out the drum parts, I highly recommend the software, its free to try and is real easy to get to grips with.
  6. We (Enrapture) have had some bad luck with gigs, Were meant to be at Moshulu with "And their Eyes were Bloodshot" but they had to cancel because their van got knicked, then the following fundraiser gig for an Exile Studios compilation was also postponed till further notice. So we've got the go ahead for this date, we got some new material and have been tightening the live sound so it should be a riot.
  7. New track, Chi on Earth, is currently up on the space www.myspace.com/enraptureband Its a first draft that i made on the weekend at home on my computer, i.e. pc mic with a sock wrapped over it and my dads amp deal haha. it may get recorded again, properly, when we scrape up some cash. We havent had many gigs recently, had some bad luck too with cancellations. Would like to hear some reactions as there's usually some good banter on these forums! Peas
