Generally I am a big Jessie and cry all the time, although rarely at my own shit. It's a nice release. I always feel more emotional on planes and when hungover. I cried during a recent hangover at the slow clap bit at the end of Cool Runnings. I was so proud of them. Me and the wife recently saw Brandi Carlile in concert and her lyrics tapped a well in me. I 'grut' the whole way through as did the Mrs. It was super gay.

Government initiatives to keep minority languages alive by passing law that everything should be bilingual even though everyone understands English. Probably not something that affects many people but it regularly complicates my day and it costs a lot of taxpayers money (whilst creating lots of jobs in translation services).

I've only had the opportunity to play the Lemon Tree once but that was really enjoyable. Our soundcheck was scheduled between 5.35 and 6.00 and that's exactly what happened. It was weird.

I love the Cellar. It makes me feel all warm and happy and is also near my flat. I was there twice last week and the sound was really good but of course you need someone to take responsibility. I hope it can continue to put on so many great gigs. Downstairs is doing really well and I enjoy playing there. The sound was poor on Friday but I don't really know anything about these things so don't know why. I've seen other loud bands there and there was no problem with the sound. Everyone should come to this gig tomorrow night and hear for yourselves. Drummonds is a bit of a dick magnet but for sound and layout is excellent. I haven't been to the Tunnels since I saw Carson Wells there about 2 or 3 years ago (this gig didn't put me off - I just haven't had occasion to go back). Like Jan I used to love it back in the day but thinking of it now makes me feel cold. The draft beer was also dreadful for many years.

Thanks Adam. I've never felt such pressure! The "I thought they were going to be shit but they're actually quite good" sentiment can only last so long. Really looking forward to this gig. In related news, I will be taking my large, unworn Das McManus T shirt down to the gig in the hope of swapping it for a medium. If I were to keep it could only be used as a nightie. I think it's a good question Milner. In this case after the event it exists in the public domain and so there will be consequences. I actually say horrendous things to myself in my flat and particularly in my car because I like the way they sound. I'd be disappointed if I lost my job over that but I might review my behaviour in light of this.

You always seemed like such a responsible and respectful fellow until now. Anything that smells has got to be against common decency. I am against all desk eating except of course for my 3 o clock piece which I eat quietly.

People who have their breakfast at their desks. You start the day at home and all your stuff is there - have your breakfast and then come to work! What's next? A queue to the toilets for teethbrushing? We're paying you to eat your cornflakes here and the clatter of the spoon on the bowl is making me fucking crazy. I know there are some work breakfasters on here so let me just say this - I hope you choke. (justifying the time spent writing this by the fact that I had breakfast at home)

I once handed in my notice and worked the four week notice period in my contract. Then, on my last day, I hardly did any work!

I had a bit of free time and watched some of it and saw a song by Terrordactyl. The whole thing looked well put together and is a great idea. Will check out the above video.

Will buy a copy of this. Enjoyed the launch at Downstairs. Solid performance. Not the sort of music I often listen to but I was belting out ELECTRIC HELL and will definitely give the album a listen.
