  1. Quality band name, quality individual names, quality tunes. Where did you record it? Can't make tomorrow. Will def come see you some time.
  2. I can confirm on behalf of Flaming Katy.......
  3. 1990's were certainly underwhelming, I wouldn't buy their stuff but wouldn't say they were that bad. Damn, maybe should have hung around for the long blondes then.......me and my clothesism!
  4. Most of the audience certainly seemed to be digging The Rebel and all the reviews I've read call the boy "a genius"! Clearly his genius flew right over my head - You're right though - I certanily did find it challenging! ;-)
  5. Did anyone go to this last night at The Tunnels and if so what did you make of the first act (The Rebel)? I thought they were dreadful. I'm all for something different but it's got to be listenable too! The fact the female drummer was semi-good looking only briefly glossed over the fact the guy couldn't sing and their songs were boring.... Thought the 1990s were alright, the bass player looked delighted by the whole affair. Didn't stay for the Long Blondes because I didn't like their clothes and I have to work on public holidays.....and look at all the work I'm doing!
  6. Aye, not so punk.......... They wouldn't allow the BBC to film their T In the Park footage because they were making some DVD! Arseholes! I do still quite like them though :-/
  7. Bush sucked and that Gavin Rosdale fellow ended up nailing Gwen Stefani. I think a hate campaign is perfectly in order..... SOAD - good shout. C'mon the Armenians.......
  8. Oh Yeah, Bad Religion for sure - They are the daddies in my eyes. Rage Against The Machine, Sick of it All (Their name says it all!), Agnostic Front ("Gulliani Gulliani Gulliani fuck you Gulliani Gulliani Gulliani fuck you.........Die!" - to the point!) Fugazi (although I've always found it's the music I dig more than lyrical content)...... For a folkier sound, I can't agree more that Masters of War is the top dog. Has anyone heard the Pearl Jam version? I think it was only on a bootleg. I'm not really a fan of them (subjected to them by my brothers) but it sent shivers down my spine. Any local "protest writers"? I cringe when using that title after seeing that Bob Dylan Documentary recently.... I wouldn't dare attempt it given my lack of political understanding (and basic lack of songwriting ability!).
  9. I like the first one more than the second. Pretty good sound. Sound a lot like Alkaline Trio I think - vocalist has the same timbre as that bloke....
  10. I like your tunes (fluffed notes and all!), quite up my street in terms of influences - Dripping with Weezer but that's a good thing in my books! (My street and my books are wonderful) Will look out for your gigs in Aberdeen.
  11. Edinburgh's "Refuse Boy" added Influences: Nirvana, Pixies, Weezer, Mudhoney, Fugazi (what more do you want?!........provided that's your thing) www.myspace.com/refuseboy www.refuseboy.com
