Must say that I have to regard any such story in the NOTW with the utmost suspicion. I don't expect either party to be squeaky clean but the reputation of that paper goes far before it.
The various disabled badge regs are a nightmare TBH. Never mind that they have had a major overhaul at national and local level in the last few years. I defy anyone to get them all right all the time and although the legislation puts the onus on authorities to use a degree of sensitivy, discretion and plain old common sense, many don't.
Another place I was at yesterday was the BA Country Store on the Skene road. I never realised they keep their christmas grotto and pirate ship thingy set-up all year - Looked fucking creepy in its unlit state, with piles of other stock all about. Wish I'd taken my camera in now.
Dunno. Back in the day, we used to walk/cycle several miles just to climb the fence and explore the place - It sat unused for a few years between completion and opening whillst the then owners sorted out a variety various planning/licencing issues. Turns out the local planners knew them well - as chancers.. Never indulged in any vandalism though. We liked being able to come back, more or less any time. Liked the shooting range in the woods at the back too. We got up to all sorts with the discarded shotgun cartridges we found there. Don't think they would get away with being so sloppy today. o_O
This, exactly! However, if it is to be put to another use, this idea seems more attractive than yet more shit flats/unlettable retail. I remain to be convinced that the scheme won't have a significant amount of this included though.
Yup, similar - Although I have a feeling this idea has a lot more to do with them thinking about extending their ticketing to bikes and we may not be able to bank on doing that for much longer.
I have a feeling that Back Wynd/The Green are in a CPZ, similar to the Belmont St/Shiprow area. So they don't need so much by way of markings or signs - The signs at each entrance to the particular zone cover it all.
Now they have their eyes on motorbikes - I've wondered when they would start targeting riders. Probe as bikers stop for free in Aberdeen car parks - Evening Express
Do they? I'd prefer to see them take-on the issue of corporate tax evasion. That takes a fucktonne more out of our economy than the entire spectrum of benifit fraud. Many of which are not fraud at all - Remember the DWP include people who are subject to overpayment because of internal fuck-ups in the fraud stats too.
