  1. Are there any bands who would like to add electronic sound scapes and break beats to there recordings? Things like, Ambient pads, synth leads, drum sounds, scratching, strange effectx, Interludes, intro, outros, etc. Got some recordings that need to be mixed, or just made louder? If so, then drop me a line. The recording studio at dFacto Productions is for hire with engineer for hourly rates or weekend bookings. Tristan Page.
  2. These tracks were recorded at gallowgate by students in there 3rd week or recording.... yes the kit is ruff... I then mixed these tunes in 2 hours on saturday as a rough demo for the TV ops guys to use in their video.. There is some eq and compression, bit of reverb, no mastering. Tristan.
  3. Hi, Got some tracks (lyrics) that youve written but no music or production ? If you give me a rough idea what you want, i can put together a track then record your vocals. Tristan
  4. Hi, Is anyone looking for private tuition for production and recording techniques? Including compressors, gates, EQ, and effects to pre-master production level. Lessons in Protools, Cubase and Reason are available and some other software packages. also, Advice on room accoustics and studio setups and wiring. Cheers, Tristan.
  5. Hi olmec, Im still working on the web page at the mo, as soon as its up, there will be some tracks for listening too. What sort of style are you into?
  6. Abletons a good prog. Im also mixing pre recorded material, so if anyones got some recorded peices as individual audio tracks (.aiff or .wav) then i can mix them down.
  7. You dont always have to have a big production to be well produced. Many bands, even punk bands, that sound raw, have been engineered that way with the help of a producer guiding the engineer. Many "Big" productions are not well engineered or "produced". Take Kylies Album, multi million selling. One would call that a big professional production, with many writers and quite respected producers.... but listen to the actual production of it.... A lot of work has been given to her voice, its good, really good (and im not a fan) however, the music is awful, and by no means of high produced quality. A lot of engineers try to produce, and some are sucessful, especially those who create music and keep in touch with new genres. However, a producer should really be up to date with sounds and have a vast knowlege of music history (in my opinion) For example the vocal techniques used in HipHop vary from others. That tight snappy sound and clever overlayed vocals, thats now almost becoming the norm. A good producer should be able to acknowlege when somethings missing from a track, or has become to complex, or should be able to help out if a chorus is weak, be giving suggestions and possible examples.
  8. Im into projects and people with good ideas, especially when it comes to creating electronic style music that can be performed live. If its something im into then would rather callaborate with them than charge, however if its a private project that someone wants then ill have to charge.
  9. Thanks. Ive sold quite a bit of hardware recently. But i still have a Novation Supernova, Nordlead 2 keyboard, Roland XP-60 keyboard, Old Alesis S4, a D4 for the Midi triggers (d drum pads) Oberheim M1000 and M6 Keyboard, Axon guitar to midi converter, Otherwise using some nice soft synths with midi controllers. What about yourself? Tristan.

  11. Hi, dKoda are looking for rappers to record on already produced beats. We can also callaborate togeather to create beats suited to the vocalist. If you are interested reply to this post.
  12. Hi, dKoda (project/concept group) are looking for female vocalists to sing on already produced tracks. Lyrics are already written. Voice must suite electronic style music and RnB/hip hop. -- elcetronic, in this case meaning, electro pop, house, not techno or trance. -- Cheers. Tristan Page
  13. Hi, Is anyone interested in recording cross genre electronic style music? I am opening my studio for commercial use. It will be mainly for electronic artists, using a combination of hardware and software synths, Midi drum kits, samplers etc. I have facilities for recording drums and accoustic instruments as well. Im based in Aberdeen, although the studio is outside of New Pitsligo, about 12 miles from Mintlaw. Currently Im a lecturer in Audio Engineering at the Gallowgate college teaching HNC sound technology. I also remix tracks - rock into electro etc. and create and produce music for vocalists and rappers. The studio has already been used for hiphop and commercial sounding pop tracks, and sequenced music to video and graphic animation. The studio is 24 bit digital, running a G5 with cubase SX3 and top range Waves plugins, Meladyne, Max/MSP, Native instuments and various software synths. Please - this is not another "Im a producer" thread.... and i would appreciate not getting abuse (like some others have recieved on this forum) Its a commercial studio with pro equipment at at rate of 25 an hour, or a deal can be made for set periods of time. There is no website as yet, but one will be available soon, with demo tracks to preview. Thanks, Tristan Page dFacto Productions
