  1. It seems to me that's all you've been doing, calling me names Keep 'em coming, it doesn't hurt. Why don't you crawl back to your hole until you can actually come up with a constructive argument?
  2. Q1 - Yes - Eddie Izzard, Peter Kay Q2 - No, I don't listen to the Blues Q3 - Do you ask people stupid questions like this to their face? I very much doubt it Q4 - See Q 3's answer
  3. Thatcherite? Nice one!
  4. Yeah, ok, whatever you say. Considering the poster said "we split up tonight. for various reasons, not just for this" after Jake had originally posted, and that all their myspace posts are deleted, I would say this is the reason, above all others. Certainly the deciding factor.
  5. I thought Wifebeater were punk? Anyone remember the days when punk actually meant something, political action and all that? Instead of whiny little fucks making a noise for the sake of it, and spouting lyrics just to make themselves look hard or to offend people? If Wifebeater are so punk, how come all their blogs on myspace have been deleted and the band split up over a couple of labour politicians who may or may not try to get their gigs banned? They've obviously got a lot of local fans to back them up, so why are they worried? And you all think you are so right about free speech, why don't they take it to the European Court of Human Rights? Fight it all the way instead of backing out even before the shit hits the fan?
  6. I'm talking in the eyes of the law, it could be construed as incitement to hatred. And that's ok then, is it?
  7. As my first post said, it's nothing to do with free speech, it's beyond that. Anyone's entitled to an opinion but I don't believe anyone should be coming out with this sort of bullshit. Where does it end? Beaten women? Yeah very funny subject huh? Foreigners? Well there's an easy target. While we're there, let's take the piss out of the disabled. Anyone who makes fun out of those less fortunate than themselves is a very sick, dispicable individual.
  8. Oh now, this is hilarious. You are all spouting on about Wifebeater being ill done by, they're entitled to their opinion etc etc. But then I dare to give a differing view to yours, I get jumped on. Very good, you've all done yourself proud and shown yourselves up to be nothing more than a bunch of small-minded bigots.
  9. What a strange little town this is. At best a band like this should be ignored just for being pathetic and childish. But no, Aberdeen, the great city of music, welcomes them with open arms. And the rest of the country probably thinks this is the best we have to offer. And you can blah on about free speach all you like but thankfully it becomes a different legal issue, as does racism etc I may start up a racist band in the vein of Skrewdriver etc but the only difference will be the fact we'd be ironic. I bet we'd go down a fucking storm here, you'd love us but still be able to tell mummy it's ok, I'm not racist, it's just a bit of fun. We could have our black mates with us and they'd all see the funny side and we'd all have a good laugh. Yeah, right. Good riddance to a load of shite.
  10. Thank you. None of us are morons. I fully understand the concept. BUT I was not told our fans would need to be in town, I was told we couldn't play (regardless of how many friends/gigs we have) because we were from out of town. As I said before, our local town for gigging would be Aberdeen, it makes no difference if we don't live there. Can you grasp that? Our fans will not be based in New Deer/Mintlaw or anywhere else, as it's highly unlikely we'd ever gig there.
  11. Clearly not, as the first question I was asked was "where are you from?" as opposed to "can you pull a crowd?" It doesn't matter if we could pull a crowd, we aren't local enough to Aberdeen to be classed as local. I personally wouldn't class a band from Mintlaw/New Deer as 'on tour' when playing Aberdeen. And in a similar point to Pictishpunkgirl, is a band that rehearses in Aberdeen but doesn't actually live there, still classed as an Aberdeen band?
  12. No, but then we haven't gigged yet. Our local town to gig will be Aberdeen. Give it a few months and we'll be absolutely no different from a band based in Aberdeen.
  13. I understand that, but there's not much difference between Aberdeen & Mintlaw, if you're talking 'local', in the grand scheme of things is there? And yeah, that's why we don't have a bass player :-)
