I'm in, really looking to get a sub 50. Bit of tubigrip & a hot water bottle last night and my hammy is fine again.

Managed a 10.21km run in 53mins 5secs tonight. Bit slower than I can manage, but a steady 5:12 pace. My hammy went tight as anything early on, but powered through 'cos I'm hard as nails.

I went out the other night down the beach and down King street but I found myself overtaking folk, which was screwing with my pace as I set out too quickly and tired myself out. In the end I only managed just under 7k at 4:35 per km. I'm heading out tonight but away from the beach to curb my enthusiastic pace wanting to beat everyone...

3 weeks to go until Baker Hughes. My training hasn't begun yet, bar the couple of runs a few weeks ago. I was playing a friendly game of 5s 2 weeks ago and sprained my ankle quite badly, but looking to get back out on it this week, possibly today. Football is definitely off for the next few weeks as I seem to have a tendency to get injured, which I can't be risking. 19:34 is speedy!
