  1. Personally I found that most of their best songs were never released as singles and it was more the gimmicky ones that were. Some of the songs on the two albums are really quite catchy. I know most of the lyrics for "Fire" and still pickin up on "Senor Smoke" The lead singer - Dick Valentine (and no that isnt his real name) is an excellent performer on stage. (And I saw them this feb when I was 16, not 14)
  2. "I know! lets put him ON a bus!" "But the conductor will notice that he hasnt paid his fair!" "NO! lets put him ON a bus!" "But the conductor will notice that he hasnt paid his fair!" "NO! lets put him ON the ROOF of the bus!" "But there aren't any conductors on the roof!"
  3. I have been a fan of Electric Six since I first heard "Danger! High Voltage" and even after their second album release - which is a really ace album. I still find people who just laugh at them because of "Gay Bar" which, to be honest, was and still is a classic. They are simply shrugged off and few people actually take the time to listen to them. I saw them live at the music hall and it was the best gig I have ever seen in my opinion. so please people, listen to them. They are basically a mix of everything (I still can't classify them as a 'type' of music.) c'mon a band willing to write songs about Vibrators and naked pictures or your mother has to be good. Seriously though; one of the best bands to come out of 2003
  4. here is a suggestion. I aint sayin this is true or anythin but maybe people just generally arent interested in the bands? Just a thought I had just now.
  5. It really wasnt that bad. I enjoyed myself and you were personally my fav act of the night. jus keep up the aceness
  6. haha its a goose, it deserved it I have a hatred/obsession about gooses. You have to read my story I wrote to see why
  7. I didnt think he was creepy, I thought has entertaining. made me smile/laugh
  8. that is the point I was tryin to make. If people havnt heard of a band they aren't exactly going to be over-the-moon to see sumthing they havnt even heard of. hearing about a band by spread of word usually catches my attention. If i havnt even heard someone say "try these guys, they are worth a listen" then they don't really appeal to me Also. Sometimes its difficult to know what kind of music a band plays just by their name. You could, for example go to a gig expecting rock or metal and discover that it is indie or sumthing far more sinister...like pop
  9. I want one of those in my room. think how much time it would save!!!
  10. I loved this film. I was captivated by the way that the whole thing came together. Brought back memories of seein the original on t.v. as a kid. As soon as Depp came onto the screen I was literally smiling for the rest of the film. I just loved his quirky comments and how he made every scene entertaining
  11. hmm well I don't know who I speak for, probably no-one but generally I don't go to gigs to see bands I have never heard of. Maybe its bcos people don't know who the bands are and are unwilling to go incase they do not like what they hear. Some people are very 'iffy' with their money and how they spend it
  12. always knew Sam was a Glasgow bum (hmm insulting Glasgow even tho i come from there) ok, Sam ur just a bum!
  13. Incubus: Crow left of the murder, S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Make yourself
  14. I have always wanted some bongos or a gong. just think they are so cool. anyone selling either of the two?
  15. it was on their website sayin they were comin back at the end of this year, but because they website is bein done up last time i checked it isnt available. touring for their new album which comes out at the end of this year sumtime
  16. The tunnels was a pretty decent gig although I thought the Drummonds gig was better, maybe cos of the larger crowd? or maybe just cos i prefer Drummonds This time I felt, however that the vocals were slighly louder than before (volume wise) which I thought was a lot better. I feel sometimes that it is sounds like a competition between Gary, Colin and Ben to see whos loudest and Rae is sometimes left out. Maybe its just cos I heart Rae's singing
  17. I thoroughly enjoyed friday. Excellent show from all the bands even though I didnt catch much of the last two bands. Hats off to Seventh Circle, great job guys
