  1. We should be on Radio1 on the show One World in Scotland which airs on Mon 15th at 1am. Also on the show is Aberdeen's own Nil Munny. Please listen in and everyone phone up say you want to hear more of that Death by Daveness!!!!!!! Dave who is jamie
  2. Crowds in Aberdeen will always vary from night to night. I personally won't spend £20 to go see a band (with a very few exceptions), but I think the whole idea of this site is to promote locally produced talent and to encourage it. Also to support smaller bands that make the trek up here. We are all guilty of just sitting back, or standing at the bar to watch bands when we could go down the front and show some support ( like maxi's dancing at take a worm for a walk week which was brilliant (the band not the dancing )) but regardless it pumps bands up when they can see people enjoying themselves. So lets get up off our seats and show these bands that we care about live music. And not lose our local scene to apathy. for what it's worth. Dave who is Jamie
  3. Desaparacidos Postal Service Bransdton Her Space Holiday Miss Atlanta Succioperro Pedro the Lion The Soft Drugs Low Grandaddy muckaferguson deftones (implausible?) Every Time I Die Logh Headphones More I guess but that's it for now
  4. Fair doo's. Regardless I am looking forward to the night. From faithfull renditions to our own brand of electro-cash to Radio Lucifer's (one can only assume) face melting interpretations (which I am looking forward to). Can't wait Dave who is Jamie p.s. Does anyone know why mr Kabuki man hasn't started a thread on this yet???? So unlike him
  5. I am hurt *hurts* Took hours of inebriation to come up with Death by Dave.........................
  6. Who's all coming down to see: Radio Lucifer Short Notice Amy Sawers Ghost of Bongo Death by Dave Steven Milne Nemo An ace night courtesy of Kabuki promotions and the man in Black himself. 3 on the door Doors at 7:30 ish See y'all there Dave who is Jamie
  7. www.myspace.com/deathbydave for all that is davelike www.myspace.com/mybeautifulexgirlfriend for...ummm...stuff www.myspace.com/vandelaysforpresident for short, fat 'n' uglee music page (handles death by dave and the vandelays)
  8. Electronic punk!!!!!!! we thought it was a gig for weirdos with electronic toys and a penchant for stupidity!! We cannot compete with that wee blurb about Data - Panik. So here's me tryin......... Death by Dave were formed in early 2005 by a couple of stoners who thought it'd be funny. Suddenly it seemed everyone wanted a piece of them and they were forced to hole themselves up in a recording studio (Special Hell studios (also known as Dave's bedroom)) for many, many minutes and came up with the drivvell that is the Death by Dave e.p. (at One - Up for a mere 2.50). Following the phenomenal mediocrity of response they stopped doing anything until someone actually asked them to. They are gonna suck but it'll be like car crash tv and everyone loves that............... So everyone raise your hands in the air and dance in the glow of the lamp Dave who is Jamie
  9. Yes the hard drinking, hard rocking, hard assed blokes of Dead Glamour Girl will be back up on February 12th @ Cafe Drummonds in the first joint Kabuki / Short, fat 'n' uglee music night. It'll be their 2nd tour in under 5 months and these guys rock so you'd best get down. Tour support comes from All fall Down with local act to be confirmed. Expect impecible musicianship, mosh pits and sweat. you can chech them out at http://www.deadglamourgirl.com or http://www.myspace.com/deadglamourgirl I know this is quite a while away but I will remind you nearer the time. In the meantime check out the band and show them some love from up north. cheers jamie Short, fat 'n' uglee music
  10. The Vandelays will be tearing it up down in Glasgow on the 22nd @ Nice 'n' Sleazy with Le Reno Amps and Blitzhoney. Great Xmas warm-up. Then they'll be back in Aberdeen for the 27th @ Cafe Drummonds with The Beard and another (as yet unnamed) band all for the miserly sum of 3. Get rid of your hangovers and join the party (you can stay and dance til 2am). And if all that wasn't good enough for you they'll be back at Cafe Drummonds on 12th January for Arkade Projects night with Fickle Public. Will keep y'all posted on costs and door times. See everyone there. Jamie Short, fat 'n' uglee music To contact or just check out the sights and sounds of the Vandelays go to http://www.myspace.com/thevandelays
