SATURDAY 26 MARCH @ THE FORUM

    Let It Bleed presents A E R O P L A N E

    Support: Steven Milne / MASH

Let It Bleed is very proud to present Aeroplane...

We have been trying to book this guy for ages! Now the day has come

and we are delighted that Vito De Luca (aka Aeroplane) is bringing his

    blissful, cosmic-disco sounds to Aberdeen!

For those of you who dont know about Aeroplane originally a duo but

now just Vito himself. Within three years Vito has established himself as

the party-starting DJ and remixer du jour with his spacious cosmic-disco

re-rubs of Grace Jones (Williams Blood), Friendly Fires (Paris), Robbie

Williams (Bodies), MGMT (Kids) and Sebastien Tellier (Kilometer). Also

via his own piano-sprinkled soulful electronica tracks like Caramellas

and awesome album We Cant Fly. He is truly the leader of the nu-disco

    and Balearica scene.

Aeroplanes music has been championed by many of the worlds top DJs.

Pete Tong is a massive fan, so much so he honored Aeroplane with the

500th Essential Mix on his BBC Radio 1 show. This was a HUGE deal. Sasha

and Richie Hawtin were on that same show but had to wait their turn.

DJ superstardom assured Vito has graced the covers of Mixmag and Dj

mag and he has also toured the world over. Headlining all the big hitter

clubs and festivals such as Manchester Warehouse Project, Cochella,

Sonar, ADE, Fabric, I love Techno, Glastonbury, Field Day & Parklife

(Sydney), Benicassium, Lovebox... the list goes on.

On the night, as per usual, we will have the best Funktion One

Soundsystem in the city, amazing lights and visuals.

This is going to an incredible night and we have one or two disco

delights up our sleeve to make sure its an evening of total dance floor

    delirium. Come join x

  5. So is it always acceptable to ask for one or two folk? I don't want promoters to feel pressured into complying, they're more than welcome to just say "nuh."

I guess the question is here: Why should you be put on the guestlist?

    Are you playing?

Are you a good friend of the promoter or bands playing?

Do you work for the promoter or bands playing?

Are you reviewing the gig for a mag or website?

If the answer to the above quetions are "no", then you shouldnt be put on the guestlist.

Promoting live bands in Aberdeen is tough and for people to try and blag in when its only 3/4/the cost of a pint... in fact any price but more so when its already very cheap... is pretty cheekie.
