    LET IT BLEED

    presents the awesome

    TODDLA T + MC Serocee !!!

    + Giles Walker + more

    SNAFU - FRIDAY 18TH NOVEMBER - 11-3am

Advance tickets only £10 from Attic (no booking fee), Athenaeum, One up and Ticketweb (link below)

Hailing from the unlikely musical hotspot of Sheffield, Toddla T – real name Tom Bell – makes a fierce mix of electro beats, dancehall & dubbstep that belie his Yorkshire upbringing.

Twenty-five-year-old Toddla cut his teeth on the DJing scene when he was just 14, leading other DJs in the city to christen him with his diminutive nickname. The name stuck, but thankfully didn't stop him from conquering clubs, festivals and rave-spots all over the world, with Serocee, his MCing partner-in-crime.

Skanky Skanky (Toddla's debut album) was released on 1965 records in May 2009, and showcased his unique mash-up sound with a stellar line-up of collaborators including Mr Versatile, Herve, Joe Goddard, Roots Manuva and Matt Helders(Artic Monkeys).

    TAKE IT BACK VIDEO

Now it's 2011 Toddla T has just relseased his second album on the legendary Ninja Tune label, which he travelled to Jamaica to work with Diplo in the studio,

has a regular slot on BBC Radio 1, and has produced tracks for some of the UK scenes biggest stars (hands up Tinchy, Roots Manuva and Ms Dynamite)!!!

He has a slew of remixes under his belt (Hot Chip, Gyptian, Gorillaz, Major Lazer for starters), is a star of his own Toddla TV channel online. Not to mention the recent launch of his Girls Music Label which, after only three releases has already featured productions by British dance music heroes Sticky and Roska! ....and Annie Mac is his bird!!!

With MC Serocee en tow his live shows are truly awesome events which can turn even the most mundane of nightclubs into a bouncing-dancehall-daggering-fun-festival.

Toddla + Mc Serocee plays Snafu Fri 18th November! Get tickets now!

    LET IT BLEED HALLOWEEN

SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER AT THE FORUM

    Featuring

    > JAYMO & ANDY GEORGE (RADIO 1 , MODA)

    > FRIDGE MAGNETS (LIVE)

    > THE L.E.D. (LIVE)

    > GILES WALKER (DJ)

    > GREG GIBB (DJ)

    > And more...

Our 3rd - now legendary - Halloween party at The Forum.

The last 2 have been sold out and f*ckinnn insane.

Our first Halloween party was with DJ Mehdi in 09 (RIP). A night which went down in LIB history and Medhi listed as one of his best ever gigs. As a mark of respect we will drop a few of his tunes and promise to party has hard as we did that night. He wouldn’t have had it any other way!

Whilst dressing up is not compulsory it is most definitely encouraged. Its amazing to see so many people making the effort to turn up like total freak shows and have a riot. We're sure this year will be no different…

Funktion One Soundsystem. M.O.C. Visuals. Plus all new light strobes, lasers and special effects.

Get ready for the best Halloween party in the city.

    > JAYMO & ANDY GEORGE (RADIO 1 , MODA) <

These Radio 1 party starters are well known for fronting the world’s coolest music. They are also at the helm of one of the most exciting nights to emerge from the past 2 years - Moda. Between them they have crafted an awesome club brand that stands for cutting-edge beats, fun and sleepless nights.

With countless DJ gigs at the world’s coolest clubs, festivals and Ibiza plus an ever-growing discography of heavy-duty club tracks, the boys have cemented their status in dance music right at the top.

Fake Blood, Annie Mac, Toddla T, Boy 8 Bit and Crookers are all big fans of the guys’ own production abilities and with so many Halloween freaks on the dance floor, their Aberdeen début promises to be one rammed, raving, rumbustious riot!

    > FRIDGE MAGNETS (LIVE) <

If you’ve not seen this band live yet... Where tha fu*k you been?

These guys are building themselves a heavy reputation for smashing stages with their live floor filling sounds as well as gaining nationwide respect and notoriety with tracks such ‘Miss Right’ and ‘Death of Rock n Roll’.

Sound? Think Calvin Harris, White Lies, The Presets, Example, Digitalism... all having a big musical fuck heap. This is what the resulting bastard child would kinda sound like. With beats, lyrics and attitude that’s 100% built for the dance floor.

    > THE L.E.D. (LIVE) <

Home grown, live electronica, house, dub step with a touch of techno and a real visual spectacle. They've supported Erol Alkan and Deadmau5 amongst others. Check their roof raising re rubs of Duck Sauce, Dada Life and the one and only, Lady Gaga and get ready.

    > GILES WALKER (DJ) <

The man behind the one of Aberdeen hottest nights, Hush Hush and a Let It Bleed regular. He’s stepped up to the plate to share turntables with the likes of 2manydjs, James Blake, Crookers, Benga, DJ Mehdi (RIP), Fake Blood, Jamie XX and Annie Mac. A responsibility very few other DJs could handle. His mixes are synonymous with good taste, knowledge and talent.

    > GREG GIBB (DJ) <

A DJ in it for the right reasons - the love of good music. Having supported Simian Mobile Disco and Dave Clarke he knows how to build a rammed room. His awesome sets blend techno and house, with an eye firmly on the dance floor.

    DOORS: 7.30PM

    THE TWILIGHT SAD

£8.00 ADVANCE TICKETS FROM ONE UP RECORDS + TICKETWEB

As part of a small venues tour to showcase the bands new album, The Twilight Sad will play a full band show in Café Drummonds on the 14th November.

The Twilight Sad is an indie rock band from Kilsyth, Scotland, comprising James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane (guitar) and Mark Devine (drums). The band is currently signed to Fat Cat Records and have released two full-length albums, as well as several EPs and singles. Their 2007 debut album, Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters, drew widespread critical acclaim, noted by Graham's thick Scottish accent and MacFarlane's dense sonic walls of shoegazing guitar and wheezing accordion. The Twilight Sad's notoriously loud live performances have been described as "completely ear-splitting", and the band toured for the album across Europe and the United States throughout 2007 and 2008. Sessions inspired by stripped-down and reworked live performances yielded the 2008 mini-album, Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did.

Their second album, (Forget the Night Ahead), marked a shift in the band's direction; lyrically more personal and musically darker and more streamlined, it was released in 2009 to further acclaim. The bands third album will be released in 2012.

As you may have noticed, with the obvious lack of spam from us in in recents weeks, we have taken a wee break over the "summer" months to catch our breaths and take in what an incredible past year it has been. So many insane nights and having the likes of Fake Blood, 2manydjs, Crookers, Chase & Status, Djedjotronic, Aeroplane, Brodinski, Cassius and Annie Mac all grace our stage and smash the dancefloor... The last 12 months have been our best to date.

To keep you goin over our dubious summer here's a mix by our boy Giles Walker.

Who's a regular Let It Bleed spinner having supported the likes of Fake Blood, 2manydjs and Annie Mac. He is also behind Hush Hush which is one of Abz finest nights attracting the likes of Person Sound, Caspa, Jamie XX and James Blake to the city.

Its a straight up party mix designed for summer days(hmm), hazy nights and walks of shame in broad daylight.

We'll be making an announcement soon with news of our next party.

    Hold on in there!
