Heading out at night City Cafe is always ok for a pint & casual dining..burgers n the like. For live band stuff check Sneaky Petes. Club wise check Caberet Volitare(sp) make sure you check out the Speakeasy bar in there (upstairs). Its pretty cool. Usually has a decent night on but checking listings. Edinburgh on a whole is pretty lacking in decent clubs and live venues I find. Unless you hit George Street for shirts, shoes n shit music type clubbing. Pleanty of them. (Mind you some of these places do pretty good cocktails :s ) Etaket (Frederick St) is worth hitting up for tea n cakes -

Bebo is still used by alot of youngsters. Unlike many late teens/adults who have all deserted to Facebook. If you check their Bebo there's decent activity on there so def worth keeping and keeping up to date. Setting up a Facebook group or fan page is a good idea. As are the sites RF metioned. -

Good stuff and glad to hear they're heading into Toms do some tracks. Only young lads so they still need to hone their art and get some more gigging experiance huh. But at 15(!) they're doing great by the sounds of things. Avoid that BOTB thing like the plague. Wouldnt bother with it if I were you mate. No band has ever got anywhere from winning a competition. They are typically awful and are usually only out to make out of the bands fanbase or promoting a product eg a beer or moblie phone company. A 2 min audition?? WTF?? -

The Last time I ate in Mas it was fu*king awful. Alot of bars in Aberdeen serve absolute crap. Wild Boar, Hogs Head, Triple Kirks...etc all serve cheap rubbish. And dont even get me started on Archabald Simpsons and Jusice Mill. illicit Still, Soul and The Globe are nae bad. Best bar food I've found in recent times is probably The Atheneum. -
