  1. Agreed stands seem to be the most sensible option in most cases. Easier to cart around, and stands are usually cheaper to get and possibly easier to use. Although all this is coming from zero experience with any racks (lol).
  2. Have had a few listens fairly recently, they sound not bad. Will be seeing them at Sonisphere most likley so will get a better idea then.
  3. Early September most likley. Will most likley be fairly busy for the first few months though, since I'm starting a new Uni course.
  4. If your rack toms are mounted onto your bass drum, it may prove useful changing to clamping the toms onto your stands. I recently upgraded kits, to one which has no bass drum tom mount, therefore my toms are on clamps, and I can adjust to much better positions. Not trying to push away from the rack thought, just an idea, and also a lot more pocket pleasing.
  5. I recently bought myself a DW Collector's Series 13x6 snare which just happened to be sitting in BM's matching the style and finish of my kit. More to the point, even still with the stock DW batter on it, I can get a very thick tone out of it, and can even produce a bit of over ring if you tune it to get that. Also has one hell of a rim shot and click. I picked it up for 369 but I think that was a bit of a bargain, especially taking a look around some of the ones online. Always hard to tell with custom drums.
  6. Anything really. I currently play with a Prog/metal/experimental band and also a Ceilidh band that plays occasional gigs at the weekend. Scott Jamieson on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads is my myspace with some stuff I've done/played on before.
  7. I'm a drummer. I'm also moving to Edinburgh in September.
  8. If you're sending a clip, try put vocals louder than what they would normally be normal mixed at. Would be very useful for us since one recently was very hard to make out! Thanks
  9. I like. Glad they haven't changed their sound.

  11. I'm going to shop around for spares, see if I can fix my one up instead of splashing out on a new one. Will let you know if I am interested though.
  12. Heh thanks. Any knowledge on spare parts?
  13. Just the module yeah? I may be interested, my one is fucked from hitting the plus button a few to many times! You don't happen to have any knowledge on spare parts for it do you?
  14. Pretty sure I PM'd you too, will send again if I haven't.
  15. Still kinda looking for something else to be a part of. Priority probably would be a function band, but any offers would be cool. I am currently rehearsing with a prog/metal band every week, hopefully get some gigs in the summer, but I still have a good bit of free time and would be willing to play and practice (a great excuse not to work!)
  16. How much? You want to send me a picture via email? I think you still have my address from my enquiery for the snare before.
  17. Still got the Pearl stand?
  18. Looking to get a Function Band started up, already have Drummer, Guitarist and Bassist. Male or female, PM if interested. Also possibly in need of Keyboard. Styles and genres varied, most classic stuff, again PM for a taster list. All live in Inverurie, but can travel to Aberdeen. Cheers Scott
