I play through the Peavey 6505 and just use the gain off that. Then smooth out the sound with the MXR EQ pedal! Great for in your face metal!

Aye! It was cancelled due to the Terror attacks. The Inverness one went ahead. Which was awsome! Alot better than I was expecting. partly because of the venue. Its a fantastic place for bands to play. Good size and great stage.

For the small amount of time I've had a chance to use it, its been great! Like I said I dont have a cab yet, so haven't had a chance to tweak it properly. But so far so good! Its got more gain than you'll ever need. It replaced a Marshall valvestate which is muck for the style I play!

I've pretty much bought a whole new setup in the last 9-10 months! Which is 1 Schecter Damian 7 string. 1 Schecter Blackjack 7 string. Peavey 6505 head. Boss overdrive pedal. Boss EQ pedal. Some Whirlwind leads. Still need a cab. Getting the Framus Dragon 4x12 when I get the money. And the ISP Decimator pedal. And that should be me sorted!

There's heaps of second hand Boss pedals on Ebay. Between 10-40. Depends on what your after? I got a Boss overdrive and EQ pedal for monkey nuts..

Dont quote me on this. But Metallica were supposed to be the 1st band to do the double bass that fitted in with the guitar riff, (like what Fearfactory do). on the end of the song One. I've had a good think about that, and I cant think of a song before that album came out, that has that type of drumming in it.

I'm selling my Schecter Damian 7 string guitar. Matt black, EMG HZ humbuckers, Grover tuning heads, cool bat inlays going up the neck. This guitars in mint condition. I bought it about 6 months ago, and selling it coz I've bought a Schecter C-7 Blackjack! I had to get this guitar shipped from the U.S.of A. I couldn't get it in the UK. I had a Gov'nor, sold it and bought the Shredmaster. Still got it in the loft somewhere. Dont need it! My amp gives me the distortion I need.

I'm looking for a halfstack myself! The Peavey XXX has been mentioned a lot. For £600 you could get a 150 watt line 6 head and 4x12 cab. Loads of effects built in. Depends if you want an all valve amp? Peavey valve king 100 watt head go for about £250 new! A cab would be about the same! I've got a Marshall valvestate 2x12 combo. It's alright, does the job, but nothing amazing! I'm getting a valve, coz there so much louder than digital amps, unless you get the Fender metalhead, 500 fucking watts. Or the Line 6 HD147 300 watts! You should do loads of research, coz an amp should be for life, not christmas!
