  1. Hey, I have to do a stupid coursework project for uni. It's a database in MS Access that is supposed to be based on a bookshop. My problem is this: i've created a form that runs a search on the tables by using a query. The criteria line I'm using in the query is: [Forms]![staffBookSearch]![WhatAuthor] Or [Forms]![staffBookSearch]![WhatAuthor] is Null I'm now trying to add a wildcard so that if, when searching, the DB user only knows part of an author's name, all the search results will still appear. Can someone please help? I can't seem to get "*" to work.. and i've looked at so many online help forums.. and can't find anything to work. Thanks
  2. Can't say that I found that even remotely amusing
  3. I wouldn't recommend The Garage.. I've never had particularly great nights there. Nice n' Sleazys is alright, King Tuts is good, Firewater is ok, ABC can be good.. generally when there are a few of you, The Arches.. Probably best to take a wonder down Sauchiehall Street and see what takes your fancy. Masses of places, bound to be something for everyone.
  4. you've clearly never heard of the wonders of airbrushing..
  5. I'd phone up some hotels - preferably smaller or family run hotels I'd say - and ask if they're looking for KPs. Also, you might find with hotels you could do the odd bit of room cleaning for extra cash. My first job was KPing at a hotel when I was 15. I went on to do waitressing and glass collecting for them when I turned 16.
  6. I gave nothing and I got nothing. Valentine's day doesn't really bother me normally.. but this year I was waitressing for all those loved up couples - how sickening.
  7. Camie, Camie, Camie.. How could you get - the legend that is - Dominic Littlewood muddled up with those two pillocks.
  8. I have been meaning to go and see this. I'll definitely go next week..
  9. Ripped ligaments in my ankle. Pretty dull..
  10. To be totally honest, I didn't think much of the book. In fairness the story line was alright.. but the actual writing style was nothing special - presumably because of the translation. None-the-less, I'll probably go and see the film through curiousity.
  11. They're playing the SECC on December the 8th. Has anyone who ordered their tickets with Ticket Master received them yet? I'm aware it's a while away but I did order them in March and am still waiting. Cheers
  12. James, you're actually being ridiculous. Get to A and E. What on earth was the point in posting it on here? ..seriously
  13. Here's my problem.. I have a sony mp3 player so I use SonicStage. I recently had to swap computers so i now have my old hard drive in a cradle, acting as an External USB drive. Because the computers are different, the old drive can only be accessed on this computer via USB, but because of SonicStage's stupid security, it's saying i can't access the music on my old drive since it was originally downloaded on to a different computer. Can anyone suggest a way i might be able to boot my old drive on my new computer? I've tried shuffling the order of bootup in BIOS but it comes up with errors if I select USB and says to make sure the drive is configured properly and I don't know anyone with the same model as my old laptop.. Help please! P.s - if that actually makes any sense to anyone i'll be amazed. I got lost myself..
  14. I'm REALLY not getting this behind the window thing for 12
