  5. Neo-Classical metal band, Nightmare's Dawn, urgently need a bass player of any tallent, any sex. Must have own equipment.
  6. We currently practice nowhere. But it seems that we'd have to gather somewhere fairly central. Our Rhythm/Synths guy lives up near Peterhead, our Lead Vocalist in Ellon, and I'm in Newburgh. So a Bassist in Aberdeen, we could all practice here in my garage until we get a Drummer, then we practice there. Go where the Drummer is. Speaking of which, anyone know of a Drummer who's looking to be in a band? Send 'em our way?

  12. Might consider me? I dunno if I'm talented, but I can't sing. Love to be in a band again.
  13. I might be interested. I'd need to hear more details though.
  14. my influences: Iron Maiden/Bruce Dickinson, Queen/Brian May, Evanescence, Yngwie J Malmsteen, Alice Cooper, Def Lep, Dire Straits, Black Sab, Night Wish, Howard Shore, JS Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Holst, Medieval Babes, Poison, Rush, Meatloaf, Manfred Man, Moody Blues, REM, Bryan Adams, Billy Idol, Thje Shadows, Boston, Motorhead, Judas priest, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, The Who, Off Spring, Sweet... Etc.
  15. Ok, so let me introduce myself. I'm a 19 year old guitarist, been playing for 3 years, have a broad musical taste (it'd take too long to name all my influences - Medieval/Baroque/Classical, to 70's/80's metal and hard rock). I'm interested in forming a band, and have a number of ideas that could lead to an interesting and captivating experiance. I percieve myself as an individual, but many refer to me as a period goth. Similar minds only need apply. Any age, any gender welcome.
  16. have to hear it first, see how it reacts to my own equipment.
  17. Looking for a Treble Booster to buy. Will pay up to 50 second hand/new.
  18. Religion and Music tend to be a life-ling partnership. But music isn't specifically Christian or Satanist, and a lot of people (particularly American Bible-Bashers) seem to totally miss that point. I have been called a Satanist purely on the ground that I burn the Wicker Man. And my band has been called Satanist just because we have pagan roots and write our music with that in mind. I guess some people need to read upon the differences between paganism, athiesm and satanism.
  19. Hey, if you're still available, we could certainatly use a drummer. I for one don't mind working in Practice rooms, and I'm sure the rest of the guys won't mind. Better than my garage. Check us out - www.nightmares-dawn.tk
  20. Neo-Classical/Operatic Metal band, Nightmare's Dawn, seek a Drummer URGENTLY for practice/gigs. Age 16-21, own equipment nessessary, skill nessessary, transport preferable, Practice space bonus.
  21. I love Tri-Sonics. Love the sound and feel of the original 60's pickups - thick, full of warmth, high output, low impedance... But sadly, the Burns Re-Issues (made by Kent Armstrong) sound totally wrong. They're similar yes, but their impedance is too high, and I lose my favoured high-end sounds. So glad was I that I found Adeson Tri-Sonics - they make Tri-Sonics to the original 60's stats I would seriously recomend them as something to be considered by those of you who are looking for a cheaper way to give your guitar a new sound, as Adeson Tri-Sonics are available from only 28!!! Check 'em out - http://www.adeson.co.uk/
  22. I do believe that the Vox Tonelab Stage Edition is perhaps the current greatest floor-based amp modeling/digital effects unit in existance. Surpasses even the Line6 Pod. Set out plainly, easy to use... Got to be insane not to know the greatness of such a product. Configured by professionals so that it sounds virtually identical to the original amps modeled, and forget the Harmony-Central user reviews of it being purely digital. Only thing digital about it is effects units and the digital screen display. Transistors don't make something Digital, Transistors make something solid-state. Maybe I'm just Bias - being a massive supporter of Vox Amps. I'd kill for an AC30...
  23. Suggestion? Would it be too much to ask to put Yngwie J. Malmsteen's "Magnum Opus" in the jukebox? Man that guy can wail... Check the Air Guitar Album 3, CD 2, track 16 - Vengeance - to see what I mean. Seriously missing out without him.
