  1. Yanik

    Bassist

Hi mate, Just noticed your thread. You still available? Am a guitarist/songwriter needing a good bassist to get recording on stuff I've got/gigging. Can't really describe my sound but is almost like grunge meets pop. Let me know how you're fixed. Cheers!
  2. Come on guys, I need some players!!!!!!!
  3. Hi there, Just seen your thread and have almost fallen off my seat!!!!! I'm a guitarist/songwriter with pretty much the same influences as yourself and am looking for some serious musicians to start my new band; hard to describe sound, melodic & rhythmic with a bit of heaviness too! Songs already written but would welcome input, not reject it! I used to play for Eskimo Blonde so have plenty live and recording experience like yourself. Still needing bassist and drummer and would be looking to start asap. I live not too far away from your neck of the woods, could easily meet up for a jam etc. Give me a shout if you want to discuss further..........you know it makes sense!! Cheers, Yanik.
  4. Drummer & Bassist Required I can't promise fame & fortune.............. I can't promise millions of record sales.... I can promise good music, great gigs and recording opportunities!! Step right this way........................................! Drummer & bassist required for new melodic heavy indie band Ex Eskimo Blonde guitarist starting new band. Singer already in place. Must have previous live/recording experience, own gear, transport etc. Would be looking to start asap. Influences: Ideally a love of melody, rhythm and intensity! Much too many to mention here but as diverse as Graham Coxon, early Iron Maiden, Ocean Colour Scene, Nirvana, early Blur, Muse, etc For more info, let me know. Ideally aged 22-30 Cheers, YANIK - yanik_75@hotmail.com
  5. Ahoy there to Jake and Hog! Bonjourno noise-mongers! Tis Yanik here, former six-string genius of Eskimo Blonde and fellow erstwhile pub-quiz championi. (I know Scotty, I still owe you a crate of Guinness for band photos.....on its way as we speak, honest!) How's it going? Just seen your musical requirements and had a serious think about it (not that kind of 'think', Jake!) Sounds like fun giving it serious mental grind-core but I'm prob too melodically-minded for you reprobates, ha ha!!! Only jokin'! Have started up me own stuff so will have to get a gig with you guys at some point. Will have to hook up sometime for a swift 'alf. Cheers Yan.
  6. Join us!!!! Ahoy there. Have a look at your other thread, you sound like just the bassist I'm looking for....... Yanik.
  7. Today's your lucky day!!!!!!!!! Hi Grant. I'm ex Eskimo Blonde guitarist and have new band lined up. Unashamedly professional aspirations, want to make a serious living at this, a contract being the aim. (no wanky egos here though!) Hard to describe the sound, I'd say unique but everyone says that don't they?! Different from Eskimo Blonde stuff, a harder edge but with catchy melodies too. I've got the singer in place and have high quality songs written already so I'm looking for a good bassist and drummer to complete line-up and get started asap. If you're still looking for the right band, give me an e-mail and we can discuss it in further detail to see what you think. Influences not really important, as far as I'm concerned the more the better. Just a few questions...........! 1) How good are you/how long playing etc? 2) Do you have own gear/transport etc? 3) What are your own ambitions in music? Sorry for the Simon Cowell impression but I need someone who won't piss me about etc. Let me know anyway. Cheers, Yanik.
