  1. Swap Marshall AS50R acoustic combo for 1x12 Cab. marshall as50r - Google Search Amp is as-new hardly used - bought during my acoustic revival - which lasted for about 3 weeks a few year ago. Note: Just moved house, so space limited only interested 1x12 Cabs (16 or 8 ohm) ta!
  2. Welcome to the internet.... BUMP Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. I've tried Stagg amps and there not for me ......
  3. Bump.... 70 quid for a USA made 2x12 amp.. come on'
  4. I had to check the back of the Amp. I would have assumed yes, given the size of the thing that it would run a Cab..... but the answers No - it cant. I've no digital camera hence no photo's of the original. Its not battered or bruised in any way - all the pots / inputs are 100% fine - its just like the photo I found on google linked into the above. If you search for 'classic chorus 212' on Music.ManualsOnline.com - We found it so you don't have to! you'll find the original manual in PDF ...
  5. 75W - 2x12 - Chorus + Spring reverb - Two Channels - with original foot switch. No use for a home practice amp as its insanely loud. Built like a tank. 70 - Aberdeen - 10 mins walk from town center. Feel free to try it, if you dont like it, dont buy it.... Just creating space so may swap if you've got a smaller practice amp and now need to go 'loud'. Despite this picture being called a 'scorpion' this is a Classic 212 (the speakers in it are 'Scorpions'): Picture Click HERE for Harmony Central reviews...
  6. I need a pickup upgrade on my fav gtar... a 80's westone thunder. Ok, buy pickups, fit em.... easy... But the guitar has a built in pre-amp which makes the existing wiring a bit hard to follow. It also has a in/out phase switch + coil split switch's..... which I want to keep. So I need to buy coil split-able humbuckers.. but I'm just not confident in getting rid of the pre-amp and wiring up the switch's, with it all earthed etc............... Anybody done anything similar and wants to earn beer money? All parts provided. -T PS Long story for the upgrade.... I know active guitars 'should' be great.. this ones not (for metal anyway).....
  7. The active electronics on my old Westone Thunder have packed in and the stock pickups are pretty tame without the added punch. And..... to be honest it I never loved the sound when the electronics where working! So... new pickups! Anything considered, including stock pickups from other guitars (as long as there 'duncan designed' or similar semi-decent make). Bridge/Neck Humbuckers, 50mm spacing, must be coil split-able, Cheers!
  8. I'm selling an Electro-acoustic Bass for a mate who's internet-less (was just about to stick it on ebay!). Its an Alliance VP (can't remember the model number). Bought for 379 a 3/4 years ago from Bruce Millers. It was an impuse buy because it was a solid wood bass (not lamitnate) at a very reasonable price. To be honest tho, I know its never really been used... Tobacco sunburst, three band EQ and strap buttons already fitted. Also comes with a RockBag (for Acoutic bass (worth 90)). Looking to sell for 260. I know its a 'no-name' manufacture but it is a handsome chunk of wood. Can be tried in Aberdeen (10min from town centre). -Tosh.
  9. Alright, Westone Mockingbird Gtar: Its pretty much unused, hence this sale (and obviously its as new)..... for 90! Guitar is identical to the one in the picture. Cheap rock axe, -T. PS If you're in the Aberdeen area feel free to come round and try it.
  10. In addition to the 'Starting a jazz thread' warning please note that slagging off the Maiden flag will also not be tolerated.
  11. Hmm, You're question is a bit tricky........ I've not come across many 'jazz' half-stacks in my time! To cut a long story short I'm a metal'er as well (I'd love to say power metal but I'm not good enough!). That's why I bought a halfstack, big ball's sound which can move enough air to handle the Bass EQ being turned up. This amp is a hybrid rock/metal thing - it doesn't really do much else. That said, I only use the clean channel and let my floor board handle the crunchy stuff. It's ehm.... a half stack - any good for metal? Yip! In terms of H&K stuff - this was my first H&K amp and based on my experices I would recommend them. It simple, bullit proof and sounds goods! All I can say is come round and try it - first person who does will buy it.....(jazz-ercisers need not apply). -T PS If this thread turns into a 'I use a halfstack for jazz' discussion I will be forced to issue a sever mocking to any contributor. PPS To tempt more buyers - I'll throw in the Maiden flag which is the perfect size for covering the cab (and its the cool Powerslave one!).
  12. Howdy, I'm still trying to sell my Hughes'n'Kettner Vortex half stack: http://www.hughes-and-kettner.com/scripts/products.php?mode=ts&id=20 16 months old, home use only - in A1 mint condition (seriously, its mint!). Head'n'Cab for 350 of your earth pounds! I do not want to split it as the two go together so well. -T (Can be auditioned in Aberdeen, but no haggling please - its already a total bargain).
  13. Hughes & Kettner Vortex Halfstack (80W). Never gigged - A1 Condition (Seriously its 'As-New'). Can be fully auditoned in Aberdeen. 350 - Bargain price so serious buyers only! (Part exchange for reasonable Combo (80W+) considered)
  14. Singer & Guitarist required to complete melodic metal band line-up. The Drums, Bass and 1xGtar is already sorted. No ambition required! Just a bit of fun! Ideal candidate would be an ex-alcoholic tea-totaller with a van. Failing that; you should be of drinking age with a good voice or fast fingers. We have NO material, so covers to start with - we'll see how we get on.... I cannot over-stress that this is just an excuse to play loud rock and go to the Pub.
