  1. Since when has football had anything to do with "the company"? As long as the club has the same fans, it's the same club with the same history. Dozens of league titles, cups etc were won quite legitimately by Rangers. You're not seriously suggesting that a club formed in 1872, should have ALL it's history discarded because of a the immoral and illegal acts of a couple of corrupt owners over a hundred years later? Sorry, but that's just total bollocks.
  2. I couldn't give a fuck if they call themselves Rangers, wear blue, retain their history or any of that shit. They're having to start from scratch in div 3.....completely and justifiably humiliated. As far as I'm concerned, that's enough that the footballing side of the club should have to suffer. Anyone who wants to see them playing in different strips, with a different badge etc etc are just kicking the corpse. It doesn't gain anything. Ultimately, the fans are still Rangers fans....they're still playing at Ibrox. It's Rangers. End of. Get used to it. Let's move on. If this sorry fuck-up of a situation has to be continued, it's by the police rather than by the national embarrassment and collectively incompetence showers of shite that are the SPL/SFA/SFL. Craig Whyte, and MUCH more importantly, David Murray should be fully investigated, prosecuted and if required by law, thrown in jail.
  3. Ok, so Hearts, DUFC and Aberdeen (i think) have all confirmed. Motherwell are basing their decision on a fan ballot. Rod Petrie from Hibs has hinted he'd vote no - "sporting integrity is beyond purchase" etc. Vast majority of Tims seem to want them out, and Peter Lawwell is on record saying that Celtic dont need Rangers. ICT, St. Mirren and St Johnstone are all fence sitting. Killie are the only ones that are hinting they'd vote to keep them in. Fuck 'em.
  4. Is it Dunfermline or Ross Cty that get the 12th vote?
  5. SPL clubs need to weigh up the loss of revenue from Govan Athletic being in the 3rd division, against the probable greater loss of revenue caused by thousands of fans refusing to renew season tickets because those cheating cunts have been let off scot free. A couple of thousand of fans missing from every game through fan apathy should cause far more alarm to chairmen than a few thousand Hun fans missing from every 11th game.
  6. It's a bit unrealistic to expect a full scale revolution from him when he hasn't even had a transfer window to stamp his mark on the team. What he's achieved has been through reinvigorating a team bereft of confidence....that's what great managers do. When you compare Chelsea under AVB, to the Chelsea of today, I think he's been an absolute revelation.....plus he's a genuinely likeable guy. Unthinkable that he won't get offered the job beyond the summer. The only issue for me is, having peaked this early, would he accept the job? Bayern were idiots to lose the game. Should have been about 8-0 at half-time. Robben and particulary Gomez were absolute tosh. Feel bad for Philipp Lahm though. Munich born and bred, quality player, led team brilliantly, and must hurt like fuck losing on your own patch.
  7. That header was fucking mint.
  8. If Dalglish has been sacked, does that count as an assist for Downing?
  9. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/7754827/Barton-questions-red-card His Twitter page is amazing too: https://twitter.com/#!/joey7barton
  10. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I blame Joey Barton. What a bell-end.
  11. "It is understood Green wants to form a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) and he is backed with finance from Singapore businessmen." So he hasn't negotiated a CVA yet. The SPL are due to release 2012-13 fixture in June. If Rangers haven't negotiated a CVA with their creditors by then (which they won't be able to do overnight), how can Rangers be included? Also, would a CVA include the club's #1 creditor....HMRC? The verdict on the tax case has been imminent for the last 3 months, and I don't know how that could affect things. Superficially, it's looking a bit more positive for the Huns, but they're still in a world of trouble, and I don't think this is over yet by a long way.
  12. Nil-Nil. Could there be a more appropriate way for Mackie to leave AFC?
  13. Scary stuff, but everyone off safely by sounds of it. Looks like pilot has played a blinder. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-18020646
  14. Deek Riordan is at it again... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-17988089
  15. Don't agree with one word of that. Of course the SPL needs Rangers. They, along with Celtic, generate all the TV revenue that pays all the other club's bills....while bringing huge supports to every ground in the country (more much needed revenue). Even if the Huns had played by the rules, the results might have been slightly different (the OF still would have dominated everything of course), but the TV money and ticket sales enjoyed by the other clubs would likely have been much the same. Take them out of the league and you can kiss half the clubs goodbye. Aberdeen are one example of a club being run more prudently than most SPL clubs, who are still barely breaking even with the OF generated revenues that would disappear overnight if they were refused entry to the SPL. Don't take my word for it though. The proof will be when the other clubs vote them back into the SPL....which will unquestionably happen. None of those clubs like Rangers one bit, and they detest what they've done and the fact that they're going to get away with it........given that is the case, why the fuck would they NOT vote Rangers out if they formed out a NewCo unless they had no option?
  16. Totally immoral if the Huns stay up, but it's always been totally fucking obvious that they would whatever the outcome of the takeover, tax case, administration etc. It's dead easy for all the other clubs to talk a good fight and publically say that the Huns deserve everything they get, but when it comes to the crunch, it's a case of turkeys voting for Christmas when it comes to actually refusing them entry to the SPL. All the other clubs need Rangers, and it's that simple. It's contemptible in the extreme, but all the talk about shafting Rangers from SPL club chairmen has always been smoke and mirrors bullshit designed to appease their own fans. They'll be here next season, wounded, but comfortably the 2nd best side in the league. And so the SPL borefest continues......
  17. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/glenn-gibbons-mccoist-and-smith-fail-to-see-true-ibrox-saboteurs-1-2261890 Nail on head.
  18. SSN are running a story about Pep wanting to leave Barca. Crikey!
  19. Nobody beats the Germans on pens.
  20. I narrowly missed this. I was in Manchester on a Stag at the weekend, and we got into a gentlemen's club at 3:30am adjacent to where this happened. Apparently the incident was at 3:40. Police had all cleared off by the time we went back to the hotel....so we were oblivious anything had happened until Sunday lunchtime when we walked past the scene of the crime.......police cordon, full forensic team, large pool of blood. Looks like the bloke in hospital got a proper hiding. What an absolute cunt. Diouf...not the guy in hospital.
  21. HAHAHA....fuck off Balotelli. Had that coming.
  22. No chance...he's a striker. He's looked unhappy and low on confidence for ages, but if RDM can get him to cheer the fuck up, he'll start scoring for fun.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17334542 Brave statement to make on the heels of the Swansea result that the EPL will be decided in the Manc derby. Could end looking a bit dumb if Money City have a couple more slip ups in the run-in.
