Yeah, I'll probably have to do some phoning at some point. I was just trying to avoid it if at all possible as I hate talking on the phone to random people. Gosh darn it.

Right, here goes. Basically I'm in the middle of preparing stuff for a college assessment (rockin) and I need some pointers on where to start finding reasonably priced security for a graduation ball. This is all hypothetical but I'd be grateful for any help. Would anyone have a scooby about how much security is needed or if any venues provide their own? My groups current list of possible venues include Ardoe House Hotel, The Forum and the Music Hall. there are more but I cant be bothered looking out my stuff. I'm just that dedicated. Mucho thanks and gratefulness type blessings on anyone who can shed some light.

There's one in Belmont Street which does pretty fine chips. Well it did last time I was there. Only annoying thing is they use the cones that collect all the vinegar at the bottom. They can be funny though - one of my mates almost made herself sick drinking the contents.

Peter Kay is an absolute genius! Not quite as god-like as Billy Connolly but he's well up there. His live dvd's are the funniest things I've seen for a while and get me giggling every time, especially when he's taking the mick out of his mum. "What are you talking like that for? You're not even Irish!"

Thanks for the help so far. I now have 3 bands for my pretend festival! Not bad going for 2 days work but I'm no Michael Eavis. No wonder he's got no hair with the stress of it all.

Um, hey. I was hoping that there are some people out there who could help me with a theoretical project type thing for my HND. Basically I'm pretending to organise a small one day festival in Aberdeen and was wondering if any of the local bands and artists could help. I just need fees and equipment demands etc. Whatever is needed for organising a thing like this - I don't know, never done it before. ?( Anyway, any info, tips or just insults you could give me would be appreciated. And I apologise if I'm on a totally random wrong forum! Cheers
