I agree on the fact that this site is mainly about rock, punk, metal whatever music. But I do feel that if you post about another style of music that people should still give it a read and post their views. I was suprised at my "Aberdeen Hip Hop ??" thread as its had some intrest which I did not expect. I also think that the site is this way because Aberdeen has a STRONG rock scene, compared to the rap, DnB, RnB etc....... Its allot more active and open minded than other sites of its kind. Agree ? (oh and can someone give me some sets at their gigs ? I rap, and will mix with any other type of music. So if you have any sets I ca do LET ME KNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol)

For makign loops and/or beat get Fruity Loops producer edition I thing its called. Don't listen to people who say Reason is better, they are just using the programs as they are. There are 100's of GREAT plug-ins for Fruity Loops and can support Plug-in's that can be imported from Cool Edit, N-Track, Sound Forge all the popular programs. Reason has a very little amount of plug-ins and can't support most if any Vst plug-ins like better compressors and equalizers

Like I say I would like to get to know them all and try and get this rap scene jumping by getting some shows and shit together. The scene is definatly here in Aberdeen its just the involvement is weak, if we get some shows going fully rap or even mix with the local bands more and push some advertising the scene would be allot stronger.

ahhhh ha ha I've done that myself on Soundclick a few times too. Thats just my practice bullshit to be real. Just produced teh beat on MPC and recorded it at home. I record at home so I can listen to it back for a month or so, then I know exactly what I want it to sound like then record it in the studio. I'm recording a cd. Been working on it for about a year now. Getting 4000 units pressed, 1000 12" pressed. and I'll see how it gos. I got a load of shows alround scotland and england but the nearest to here is Dundee thats why I ned to get some local shit down. I've no idea whoo to contact about venues and shit around here tho. I do sets along side rock, punk, metal and other rap artists. Who its with don't bother me as long as they respect my time you know. Anyway thanks for all the help so far keep it coming.
