was that not spizz energi?
It may well have been' date=' though I'm pretty sure the gig was in 1980 so they'd have made the switch. I have an over-riding memory of the PA failing during Captain Kirk and Spizz conducting the crowd in a singalong. Good gig.
and what about the amazing SLITSNever made that one. As I was underage at the time, it was always hit or miss whether I'd get into Ruffles for gigs.

What Biz fails to mention here (prolly too embarrassed) is that this gig is in fact to commemorate his
40th BIRTHDAY!! .
So anyone that knows him should come along, buy him a beer in celebration, and watch as he drunkenly attempts to play drums for both bands!!
Should be fun.

scAVENGERS UK dates
You know The Avengers? Hey man' date=' cool.[/quote']For fans of The Avengers, there's word of The scAVENGERS - Penelope Houston & Greg Ingraham of the original band plus a couple of other fill-in guys - coming to the UK for some dates in early December. It will likely end up being just a couple of nights in London but probably worth travelling for. When else are you going to get the chance?

why is it that a hostile atmosphere exists between fans of punk a la "back in the day" and the fans of todays bands?
I think basically it's the generation gap - bearing in mind the 25+ year lifespan of the genre. The typical non-alignment of young and old that happens in most aspects of life.
Hostility? I don't see it - more like a lack of understanding of each other's standpoints. Maybe even an unwillingness to understand, but nothing I'd personally get that worked up over. Hell, at the end of the day it's only r'n'r.
