Its all about it infact. Dont you think that the real problem lies within smaller un-noticed bands that have talent but yet get no mention or aren't know? There are so many bands out there that arent promoted correctly

It seems really petty that when someone goes against the grain and upsets the bandwagon you get all these people attacking, atleast user is being honest and expressing himself. Something which on this forum you get no credit for, its easy to follow the crowd and well its even harder to be your own identity. Its life that the minority get laughed at and tried to get belittled, personally i dont give a shit what anyone else thinks about my opinion or interests, i do it for myself and wont ever try to become something im not. It would be untrue to myself and i think morally wrong. If these forums are such a joke bob then why participate in them? Havent you got anything better to do?

YEahhhh my neighbours get a full on blast But please dont you think that theres alot of great metal bands out there that get no recognition? I try to give people ideas on what i like, most of the time im met with the responce "never heard of them"

I know even before asking that these songs wouldnt get played, they are for too extreme. Maybe they hadnt refused to play them but i really honestly do think that they wouldnt be considered appropriate for playing in a shop

So what does that tell me? Youre opinion clearly states that you dont like the bands i listed

So please tell me how my points arent valid? Its fact that grindcore,thrash dont get little mention. Yet the bands continue on trying to make a life out of it with little or no success. You think this is right?

I wonder how much crowds these aberdeen bands would actually get if they toured to places where their local support werent their........

Ive listened to these bands and ive even purchased to my misfortune a korn cd. I also have the first 2 slipknot cds and the live dvd but now i think both are shit. I get people at my work all day preaching to me bands i hate, thats life. Everyone at my work thinks metal is shit. I dont care. If you cant play the certain cds that your shop takes in why sell? Dont you think that these bands are mostly unknown to people? Hey ive worked in the retail industry i know what its like. I just rise above all that bullshit ans say so what why should shit like that bother me. Thats a slightly shovanistic view to have, thats like me saying to one of my pals hey fuck you i aint puttin that shit on my stereo. I wouldnt do that youve goto be diplomatic

Seen as people are talking about shops "doing it for the mainstream" with bands that are accepted, hell why dont we just scrap all the alternate scene as its not a real money maker and just sell the top 40, so all we can listen to is manufactured crap?
