Hey i am a sound engineer with 6 years experience working with bands both live and in the studio. I have recently completed my Bsc (Hons) Audio Technology with Multimedia and have recently worked at events such as Fantazia@ Braehead Arena and a couple of the Glasgow Research society nights featuring bands such as Jack Butler and kid canaveral. I was just wondering if anyone had any nights or events they were putting on where they would require my services?? cheers Liam Wilson

2 x Celestion 12" floor wedges which double up as high tops and A behringer europwer PMX2000 10 track powered mixer it has 9 xlr and jack inputs each channel has and fx send, 3 band eq, level control and a 25db pad button with the 10th channel being your master which has the same controls but a phantom power switch and tape inputs and sends. The unit also has 9 band graphic eq on the 2 output channels and built in effects and is capable of producing 250W mono @ 4ohms offers???

the se1a's are good value for what they do they work well as overheads but also work well on acoustic guitars or as an ambient mic! i tend to mic my cabs with a close mic'ed 57 and a se1a a few inches back gives a lovely natural sound to the amp. I would say though when you are mixing id say only use eq to boost very little try to use it more of a bad sound eliminator. the only time i ever boost frequencies is to give the kick of snare a bit more punch. Most of all dont stick to any rules experiment you may find your 'new' technique when mixing sounds amazing after all music is subjective to taste as is production
