Yeah it's really nice. Currently going through a few teething problems but everyone seems to be rating it really highly... Nice and plush, good lighting. Sound is on its way to getting sorted I believe. Check it out. Fridays are strictly "rock and metal" and saturdays is more electronic stuff.
  6. Everything Else Sucks 4th July @ Korova 7 Duke Dumont In 2006, Duke Dumont was crowned Diesel U Muisc champion, beating thousands of other producers to be considered the best unsigned producer in the world by a host of music industry judges, allowing him into the ranks of previous winners Mylo and DJ Yoda. With releases on Tiga's Turbo Recordings label and Switch's Dubsided label, you can expect a quality DJ set full of his own innovative productions. Holding down regular sets at Fabric, Razzmatazz and Bugged out, whilst touring the world constantly, Duke Dumont is in high in demand. Marc Roberts Joining us this time will be Marc Roberts from Durham. Director and resident DJ at Snowbombing in Austria, Subotica in Durham and Rubadubdub in Newcastle, Marc can be found playing all over the UK and Europe. This year alone has seem him share the stage with Toddla T, Boy 8-Bit and ShyFX to name but a few. He has played festivals such as Global Gathering and Creamfields, as well as being responsible for booking the artists at Beachbreak Live and Superfly City. Needless to say, he's got a pretty keen ear for what makes the dancefloor rock. 2009 has also seen him make his US Debut at New York's legendary Trouble & Bass night. Getting you ready will be EES' own Djamba.
  7. Ok, I may not be able to insult people on here, but I can laugh. And laugh I did. I can't believe that.
  8. Both Giles and I have long hair, so it could have been either one he was talking about. Either way I took great offence, hence my angry post which got deleted. Sorry if I offended anyone. Anyway, he definitely did turn up and yoda was on for a good 2 and a half hours. Iain
  9. Korova Club Launch Night 23rd May 15 (Advance tickets available from Oneup) DJ Yoda w/ Djamba & Giles Walker DJ Yoda is one of Britains most admired, original club DJs and an AV pioneer who is constantly pushing the possibilities of audio-visual manipulation. Encapsulating the very essence of good times, DJ Yoda has transformed clubbing as we know it, throwing down styles as diverse as Hip-Hop, Funk, Baltimore Club, Drum n Bass and even Country music, all cut-up with a awe-inspiring selection of film, TV show and You Tube visuals that elevate his sets to the uniquely sublime. His keenly-defined sense of humour has captured the imagination of the masses making him possibly the only DJ in the world who can fill a club cutting the Indiana Jones theme music with dirty dubstep beats or 80s pop with New York rap. A judge for three years-worth of DMC DJ World Finals, tipped by Q Magazine as one of The 10 DJs you must see before you die and voted alongside DJ Premier as One of the Top Three DJs in the World in Hip-Hop Connection magazine, DJ Yoda represents a new brand of mix-master who can happily play any kind of music to make people dance.

  13. I was there at the fruitmarket on saturday for the count & sinden. it was good, but not great. they didnt advertise this thing at all, seriously. for the amount of money they must have spent their PR really sucked balls. and that friday was possibly the worst time they could have picked to put it on. could have been so much better if people actually knew about it.
