Mine was noising up local Tool nerd Rass to reply to your delightful thread but then I discovered women and was too busy to pass on the message in person.

It's all true though. I once spend a week shoeless and unsuccessful in Glasgow trying to track down 'Sauce' after hearing their metal cacophony.

Initially I wasn't that taken with it but now I'm starting to think it's their best effort to date. The buildup to the finish in the title track especially sticks in the mind.

I seem to have been quite lucky in hearing 'All The Wine' and 'Secret Meeting' first and then heard the 'catchier' ones afterwards so they were more of a bonus to me. Good band.

That Midlake album's ace. I recall it soundtracking sunny times in the flat when Maxi lived here. Huzzah!
